Don't use checks anymore. It's going to be an even bigger headache with Ignition. Get bitcoin hooked up.

Okay, I was just starting to set up an account with Bovada when I started reading this thread. For some people, the process seems to work and for others it's a nightmare. Recommendations? Sorry...not trying to hijack the thread just a bit concerned atm. Thanks

I recommend looking into Bitcoin.

I was able to cash my Bovada check, but the first bank I took it to (my credit union) was unable to do so because even though it was in USD, it was from a Canadian bank. The second larger bank I tried cashed it for me, but charged me $10 for cashing a check from a foreign bank. I didn't need to use the ATM to deposit it, I just went to the counter. The money didn't take any longer to hit my account than from a U.S. bank.

You might want to ask if the check actually bounced because of insufficient funds or if the bank simply refused to cash it because it was from a foreign bank. In the latter case, make a couple phone calls to bigger banks in your area and ask if they cash foreign checks and what the fee is.

Bovada doesn't exist as a poker site anymore. They sold everything to ignitioncasino.eu. I have played there with my free bonus for creating an account but haven't deposited or withdrawn funds. I know a lot of people who have, though, and haven't heard of any issues.

Ya, don't use checks anymore on Ignition. Maybe on Bodog it's ok, but I would not recommend it for Ignition.

I've cashed out at the named Bovada, just deposited and waited for it to clear with always leaving enough to cover it just in case.

Bovada doesn't exist anymore. And if you're on Ignition, I'd highly advise not using checks anymore. Switch the bitcoin. The payment processor Ignition is using seems to be a little more sketchy. Especially if they are publicly telling you to tell your bank the funds are from another source other than poker.

before on Bovada I never had any issue with their checks, They cleared up just fine with my bank.
Now on ignition, I moved my account and some funds I had left over, but not have to setup Bitcoin for them.
You can find some good well written post on our CC forum, if you use Search function, about Bitcoin and setup.
Should be pretty much easy.

Yeah, Bitcoin is a little strange at first, but it's almost like the old neteller days when you could get a big score and then have it in your bank account the next day. It's nice :)

No problems ever with Bovada or Ignition

I have withdrawn from both and over 10+ times. Almost all of them 1000$ plus. Never had any problems. Normally do the fast cash straight to my account. Usually there within 5 days of requesting and my bank has never questioned. One time that service was down and I had to get a check. Still had no problems cashing.
