Hi everyone,

Just sharing my experience in case someone has dealt with this before or has advice.

I play on WPT Global from Botswana.

My ID verification was approved quickly, but proof of address took a while. My bank statements only show a PO Box (no physical address), and I don’t have utility bills in my name. After several rejections, I finally provided a police affidavit confirming my residential address and my account was fully verified.

So KYC is DONE.

Then the withdrawal problems started.

What happened:

• Deposited using visa card
• Visa is NOT available as a withdrawal option
• Only bank transfer (Instant SEPA) shows in cashier
• Tried withdrawing via bank → rejected multiple times
• Support first said “currency issue (USD)”
• Then said “technical issue”
• Now they say they only support Instant SEPA transfers and not international/SWIFT transfers

But Botswana banks don’t support SEPA or EUR transfers.

So basically:
I can deposit fine…
but their only withdrawal method doesn’t work in my country.

They told me to use another bank or confirm SEPA support, but no banks here support SEPA.

Has anyone else outside Europe faced this with WPT Global?
Did you solve it using Skrill/Neteller/crypto or another method?

Right now I’m waiting for them to enable an alternative withdrawal option.

Just wanted to share in case it helps others or someone has a workaround.

Thanks 🙏

U need to deposit with an ewallet then it will show under withdrawal options. U could also send the money to someone u trust via p2p and then this person will send u somewhere else. There are maybe playthrough requirements for the recepient if u choose p2p. In this case u could make a deal, for example a discount or the recepient is going to bet the whole amount in the casino and sends u whatever is left after rolling over.

Funny of them to ask that since SEPA is literally a system of European banks in the Euro area. 🙄

Thanks, this actually helps a lot.

I didn’t know withdrawals only show for methods you’ve already deposited with. That probably explains why my Visa and bank options keep failing. I’ll try depositing a small amount with an e-wallet like Skrill or Neteller first and see if it unlocks withdrawals.

I’ll skip the P2P idea though, just to stay on the safe side with playthrough/transfer rules. Don’t want my account getting flagged.

Appreciate the tip 👍

Exactly 😂 that’s what confused me.

They’re telling me to use Instant SEPA, but SEPA is basically Europe-only. I’m in Botswana, so our banks simply don’t support that system or EUR transfers like that. It feels weird that we’re allowed to play but the default withdrawal method isn’t even usable here.

Hopefully the e-wallet workaround solves it.

This is basically on every site the case. Yes it will unlock 100 % but u will have to play through the deposited amount.

Ur account wont get flagged if u do this with someone u can trust and u guys dont do stupid stuff. Why should it? The p2p function is there to send other players money so they can use it on the site for games.

True but the player recieving the funds might have to play through the transferred amount, before it can be withdrawn. So its best to do this with someone, who play regularly on the site for their own money.
