This is one those news that I don't know what to think of it.
I've never heard of the guy but he looks like an average Joe. Then again he is so up there in his own pay grade that the story doesn't really resonate with me.

Well more recently he's been WSOP Player of The Year.

Going back 17yrs. he was ranked as the #1 Online MTT player. Shaun Deeb aka 'TedsFishfry' a.k.a. 'Shaun Eff'n Deeb' was known for playing many tournaments at the same time and would compete just as hard in a $5 mtt as he would the $1k Monday on Fulltilt.

After Black Friday, Shaun transitioned to mostly Live play and began to specialize in Mixed Games.

$17 Million in Live cashes

That's surprising for a pokerplayer not to know Shaun Deeb :) one of the most prominent names in the pokerscene.
And any Pro is up there in his own paygrade and won amounts of money we average Joes could never dream of ^^

I'm also surprised there's a poker player out there who doesn't know Shaun Deeb. Considering he's played the most WSOP events the last 3 years in a row while also being one of the very best over that period. The guy's just not seemingly human the number of hours/MTT's he can play with almost zero drop off in performance is just insane. And I say that as a guy who personally prefers and tries to play(when I play) longer sessions then the avg rec/hobby. player. Not that I'm any where near his talent/skill or calibre longer sessions are still mentally exhausting and draining.

Cheers!!!

I had him in my Cardschat WSOP team...can I get retro points for his win? LOL
Shawn has been at the top of poker's elite pros for many years now...congrats to him for his win and maintaining his consistently good results.

That’s insane: eight bracelets already! Shaun Deeb just keeps proving he’s one of the most consistent players out there. What’s crazy is how he always seems to perform no matter the format or the field size. The guy’s competitive fire and confidence are on another level.

It’s also wild how he keeps balancing family life, the grind, and even prop bets, and still crushes at the highest level. Love him or hate him, you’ve got to respect that kind of drive and longevity.
