The Venetian poker room reopened on June 5 after closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, Las Vegas regulators allowed casinos to seat up to 5 players, providing the level of social distancing.

So then the Bellegio added plexiglass to allow 6 handed play. Then the Sahara added plexiglass allowing up to 7 players per table. Now, the Ventian is upping the ante with plexiglass protection for up to 8 players.

Who will be next to allow up to 9 players while continuing to use good practice?

We don't know for sure its good practice. Cases and hospitalizations are on the rise and ICU beds are at 93%. I was excited to see poker come back, but at first I didn't return because supply couldn't keep up with demand and wait lists were too long. Now I don't know if its a good idea to go back.

Yes, you are right! We don't know if what is perceived as 'good practice' as a practice that will help to flatten the ever-climbing Covid curve.
