Site was already a graveyard for years afaik. I'm surprised they were still online tbh and I highly doubt they will be missed much in general.

Wow, I am surprised that is off my radar as I used to play there frequently. I had so many skins of Carbon poker, including I think Sportbetting.ag, Reefer Poker, etc that I was up to eberetta6 on this Merge Gaming Network site. RIP Carbon. Lots of good memories.

I used to have great results playing double-or-nothing SnGs there until they ruined them by adding antes from the first level and turning them into shovefests. Gave up on the site when they did that, there was some money there but I don't remember how much and I haven't logged in for years.

The screenshot and Sportsbetting have absolutely nothing to do with carbon.

Never played it but many went down after Black Friday. Absolute Poker went. Full Tilt was taken over by PokerStars then folded. There were many more.

I will miss it greatly. This is essentially my Black Tuesday. It was a great but simple software with a small community of players where we got to understand each our playing styles. There isn't anything out there like it for those reasons. I have 10k+ with many players on the site. Being from the US, we don't have many options as it is and IMO, my best option just shut down.

Wait...so u still had 10k+ there? They shut down without paying out? Now that really sucks actually.

I'm sorry I missed the word "hands" in my comment. I have 10k+ hands against many players. Carbon gaming in still active with an online casino and sportsbook so, the money is safe. Not sure how you inferred they shut down without paying out.

Because u talked about black Tuesday and having 10k+ there. Sounded kind of desperate so I thought u have money locked up there.

But everything is clear now 😃I'm sure the 4,5 people who still played there will soon get over it, u included.

I thought Absolute poker shut down after a scandal when it was revealed they had superusers playing.

I can see that. Whether I get over it or not is irrelevant. The small community bizarrely made playing there fun. Certainly more fun than the anonymous sites and large population sites like ACR that chat has been eliminated. I will miss it.

They had been trying to phase out the poker side of their business for years. They stopped accepting new players many years ago. I assume they just kept the poker side alive for the legacy players that still enjoyed it, until it was unsustainable and decided to shut it down.

Yeah I know that feeling from cardschat (community) tournaments. It's great to play always against the same small pool.

U could try out intertops. Small and more or less trustworthy site that I think allow US players. Not 100 % sure though if they never changed anything.
