Due to a recent legislative change in Brazil, WPT Global will end its operations of Sportsbook and Casino in Brazil as of October 1, 2024.

It is possible for the player to withdraw their funds before that date or by October 10, 2024.

If the player is currently enrolled in casino tournaments starting October 1st, please unsubscribe as it will not be possible to participate in the tournaments or withdraw any potential winnings generated from them.

However, please note that: the Poker services will remain available to play normally .

Close one and open three more! Meanwhile, Grupo Globo, Grupo Bandeirantes and Grupo Silvio Santos are also planning to enter the sports betting segment next year. The government has already signaled that it wants to regulate betting and will "pull these chips" soon.

In Brazil, 114 bookmaker license requests have already been requested, and the deadline to apply to the Ministry of Finance is September 30, after which the distribution of licenses will begin to be distributed to companies that meet the requirements and become able to operate in Brazil.

The online betting and gaming market should “boil” in the coming months:)

888 Poker also followed the same procedure as WPT is ceasing to offer sports betting and casino services to Brazil, in the poker area everything remains unchanged.

I totally agree with the regulation of bets games. I personally know a young guy that needed to leave his engineering course because he lost all his money and fell into unpayable debts because of these games. :(

I'm from Brazil and I don't play on WPT, but I'm glad that at least the poker continues. WPT I would expect to not offer sportsbook anymore to Brazil because I don't think they have enough brazilian customers to justify to pay $5 million to continue to operate here. But I thought 888poker would have more brazilians customers. Anyway, for me, the important thing is poker, so, I'm happy that they didn't changed anything for us (at least for now).

R$1.9 billion for a 56% stake, Flutter Entertainment is investing heavily! It owns brands such as Betfair, FanDuel, Paddy Power, PokerStars, Sky Betting & Gaming and Sportsbet.

I had seen that the idea was for Pokerstars to sell the rest of its market share by the end of the year to Flutter Entertainment. Now, i don't know if that will happen, especially because these big acquisitions take some time to happen.

888 Poker has sent an email to all registered customers on the site, if you have an account there, please check that the email has not been directed to your spam box on your 888 Poker email.

I don't recommend playing using a VPN, proxy or similar services. This is because all players are required to provide accurate information, including location. At Pokerstars, for example, this is written in the General Terms of Service and i think that at 888 Poker there must also be something similar.

Now it's PokerStars' turn:
"Unfortunately, due to regulatory reasons, PokerStars Sports and PokerStars Casino will soon become unavailable in Brazil.

However, you can continue placing your sports bets and playing your favorite casino games at our partner brand, Betfair, who are also part of the Flutter Group."

I didn't know that Betfair was a partner of PokerStars, maybe it was a recent agreement....

- Pokerstars

The date is yet to be confirmed! I just received this message just now.

(Note: The poker services will remain available and will not be affected.)

''Long time'' , more than 2 years with some 100% i can say, because if you go to sports session on pokerstars, you can find the exchange part of betfair

I thought PS would still be available because I saw them on the list released by the government, but just saw that I also received email from them. I think no big poker room paid the fee to continue to offer sports bets and casino games, at least for what I saw.
