I’m not playing on CoinPoker yet, but maybe I’ll register there someday.

I completely agree with the assessment of CoinPoker, their rakeback structures are some of the most player-friendly in the industry, but I have to wonder, has anyone else experienced any issues with their occasional 'glitches' that result in lost hand rankings or missing tournament entries?
i hadnt heard about that rakeback thing until i saw a post here. Its a shame.

oddly enough I was thinking about this post today/thread. And I wanted to elaborate on what I meant when giving credit to coinpoker. the short of it is that when i asked for a withdrawal, it was fast/easy. in my book thats important.

It seems like it is run by WPT Global? many of the same features (like the way the table looks, with some small differences (7 people on a table instead of 8)
but the registering looks the same, the way the stats are displayed on the table etc
It seems all is getting standardized now: EV cashout, throwables, emoji's

ps: I do see some advantages, like especially a bigger player base
The downside for me: the connection is lagging, it seems more often than before, maybe because there are more players
And I don't like the avatar system, but that will maybe be updated, so that you can personalize, later on still
And also they had a lot of sats starting from 1 cent and 10 and 20 cents, I kind of liked that, but they also overhauled that system, that is a shame though, it was a nice way to feed the tournaments
Oh yes and still the crazy long disconnected timebanks

I don't think anyone knows who owns it now. It was owned by two poker pros, one being Tony G, but they sold. The new ownership bought pokerbazi's software and are using that now for their site.

Why shouldn't we play? Are there any pitfalls that create problems for PokerCoin?

Haha no just no.

They claimed to be something different and then when they had a large slice of the market they decided to pull a cheap one and transformed their site into some kind of GG poker 2.0 with that new layout and a heavy rake increase that they tried to mask with their one month rake free promotion.

All that's missing are mystery tournaments.
