Forewarning for 888Poker Player-to-Player transfers

Just wanted to put this out there as I've just discovered it myself.

Be forewarned that if you're planning on accepting a player-to-player transfer on 888Poker you will need to rake a fair bit of $'s before you can get your money from them.

It appears that for each $1 received in a P2P transfer you'll need to rake $0.50

So... if you play MTT /SNG and you receive $100 from another player, you'll need to play $500 worth of games in order to even get that money. (if you receive $1,000... you need to play $5,000 worth of games).

Had I known this, I would choose to not receive P2P transfers on 888Poker.

What do you mean by "get your money from them"?Withdraw or re-transfer the money you received from another player? If it is, this rule has been in effect for several years

Back in the old days p2p transfers were actually available there and even then minimum amount you'd send/receive was 5.- ...
However for the last year or 2 (or 3) this option is unavailable ...

Another thing by 888 that is pissing me off, you know what, I can't tolerate 888 anymore, after my next free rolls I'm not playing on this site. Like wtf, 50cents on the dollar they want to transfer money. Imagine if a bank tried doing that, the CEO would probably go to prison and people's heads would explode.

On the plus side, at an obnoxious 7% rake, it shouldn't take you to long to pay it off.

you know whats making this even more unacceptable? if you not use that transfered money for a certain ammount of time, they gonna take that money. happened to a few guys on the 2+2 forum. its actually a "bonus" that you will receive if someone sends you money p2p and it has an expiry date. very bad policy to threat player funds like that IMO.

Im not aware of that any rule regarding player to player transfers has changed lately.

You can still ask the rep here if you want to be sure. Your best option would be to trade with someone ewallet to ewallet (or similar) and then deposit the money to 888 poker.

Good afternoon.FortunatelyI ´ve never wanted to try that kind of transfers.I prefer the regular deposits and withdrawals.Those 888 bonuses are really a waste of money.This has been a helpful information.

Hi.
A money transfer from another player is essentially a deposit. Therefore, the conditions are the same as when making a deposit to your own poker account.

lousy table sizing (doesn't match up with tables from other sites)
They are actually making some recent improvements though...
they've added a bunch of new tournaments to the Lobby
tables in micros are softer than some of the other sites

If someone want to withdraw their money from a poker site, they should do it themselfes rather than making a P2P transfer and then have that person withdraw on their behalf. Presumably that is why, there is this raking requirement. Cant say I find it particularly unreasonable.
