How to transfer Stars player notes?

How do I transfer Pokerstars player notes from my laptop to my desktop computer?

I think you don't have to do anything just login and you are good to go.

No! PokerStars notes are device specific. If you take notes on your laptop, they won't appear on your desktop version.

I tried once and failed. Last Summer I had to do it again and used this page:

I believe I ended up mailing a copy to myself via email (which is not device specific).

Edit: Do not take any notes on the new device before the transfer or overlapping player ID's (with notes on each device) ends up in a default action that I didn't like. I don't remember what it was exactly. It may be as simple as keeping only the newer version.

Back in the old days (lol) on Fulltilt, I was able to grab notes & put them on a usb stick to save them (in case of computer malfunction) and could transfer (& add) them to another computer.

... now to get this monitor out of save mode... argh!!!!

just copy two files from the pokerstar folder - notes.nickname and notes.nickname.xml.bak - and you're done! you can transfer via mail, for example
