Split Hold’em is a novel twist on the classic and wildly popular game of Texas Hold'em. With Split Hold’em you get more chances to hit great hands, leading to more flops, more action…and more fun!
If you’ve played Texas Hold’em before, or seen it on TV, the rules of Split Hold’em are easy to pick up as the games are very similar. The crucial difference – as the name suggests – is that the community cards are split into two separate boards.
The Rules of Split Hold’em
In traditional Texas Hold’em, players are each dealt two private cards (known as ‘hole cards’) that belong to them alone, with five community cards then dealt face-up to form the ‘board’. All players in the game use these shared community cards in conjunction with their own hole cards to each make their best possible five-card poker hand.
What makes Split Hold’em different is that two completely separate boards are dealt simultaneously – two flops, two turns and two rivers – with the winner of each board receiving half the pot.
It is possible for one player to win the entire pot by holding the best hand for each board, or if all other players fold.
Split Hold’em is played as a No Limit game. Run It Twice is not available for Split Hold’em.

Lol,,,was watching a few hands and every hand,2 or 3 players were shoving,Crazy!! I guess they hope to win both but will settle for split, because you pick-up the blinds and any smaller bets also,,,,it`s a little too fishy/donk poker for me,,,but i can see gamblers loving this! ;)

I will probably try it, but I don't expect that I'll like it. Seems kind of like 50/50 games or worse yet, OMHL. I don't play either anymore because the potential profit is just too low to justify the time spent playing, especially with the split pots in OMHL. I only get GOOD hands very infrequently, so when I do get them I want to get paid off in full.

It's kinda funny playing on 2 different tables with the same actions. Hope you're winning on both tables. Otherwise you wont be profitable. Good luck :)

New Cash Game Mode "Split"

Have you already tried the new Split game mode? I already tested it and it seemed very interesting and apart from that it has been profitable for me, what about you?

I'm playing it with play money and it seems for me that this kind of poker will not take the players attention. Holdem is the best!

I don't like it personally. It seems VERY gambly, and I don't like that. I find the strategy behind it interesting though, using the cards shown on one board to eliminate potential flush cards etc on the other. Too complex to develop a decent strategy in though, so I dont like that much

I can't play real money on Stars, but I tried it in the play money section and it was a Lot of fun!

If I were playing real money I would not play this at the cash tables, but a tournament would be fun.

Predicting this type of poker will fail. It is like inverse Omaha they turned a strategic qualitative game into a equities game where you have to put in volume to play profitable....IMO stupid.

It looks designed to suck out even more rake.

With 2 boards more people will hit a flop which will increase post flop action, but players will lose as you aren't going to win both boards very often so the betting (thus rake) increases but you only win half the pot.

Sounds about right. Maybe split PLO8 is on the way.

Sounds interesting. I'd have to watch it first and understand the dynamic before I would invest money into it tho

Yeah I'm not sure about this game seems more harder to win pots and might easily lose your chips or bankroll.

i played i few hands on play money. I dont like it. i cant see the point in. Its just another fun game with more variance.
Well maby that would be an argument to play it because there will be more recreational players and fewer regs....

due to the fact that in this game two flops are very suitable for aggressive players who play with any hands, if one flop loses another, they can win
