PokerStars stars coins

Does anybody know how you can collect more stars coins on Poker Stars? I think the more cash you lose, the more stars you collect. Is that correct? I lost 10 bucks in an all on and the line that showed how long I had to achieve my target got longer all of a sudden. Can you get closer to your target even when you don't lose that much?

no matter what you win or you lose , the VPP is calculated with the amount of money bet

Playing tournaments, the tourney-lobby shows the VPP's you earn.
In cash games the amount of VPP's are calculated based on your share in the pot....
no matter you win or lose the hand, the amount you get will remain the same.

cash game for sure more hands per hour = more stars coins per hour. remember tourneys and SnGs are fixed to the buy-in so time means nothing

You also get more coins when you reach certain Steps.

Im at silver and get 275 stars every 100 points but when you get to step 5 you get 625 stars then goes back to 275 for steps 6 7 8 and 9 then goes up at Step 10 to 700.

Not sure how other levels work i.e. Gold, Chrome Bronze etc

although was watching somebody on Twitch and they were getting 5000 stars

Does it require mor time to clear a step when you are a Gold member than when you are silver for example?

The more money you win or lose the more you get coins. Once the player status much depends. If for example bronze star won by $100 get 50 coins the chrome star will receive 60, respectively silver, gold, platinum, supernova more

It requires more VPPs for a step. As for time it depends on what stake you play.

You have to rake in more $ for them to win more StarsCoin. Best way is to play cash games, the higher the limits the more coins you will earn

Martymart48, you can exchange the starscoins for money. 1000 = 10 dollars.
If you have 500, you can buy a 5 dollar worth ticket and join a tournament.

I play a lot and the starscoins are in packages of 800 or sometimes 2400 and i think the package has to be filled before the new month begins.

If you have 799/800 and it is the 1st of the month i think you lose the 799, correct ?.

Starscoins seems good but i find it strange that the ticketprizes are the same as the cash !.

If you have 1000 coins you can change this into tocket for 10$ or cash 10$

Also higher tickets will cost the same in %, so for sm ticket 215$ it wil cost 21500. So the higher the ticket no will get no extra reduction.

I think before the SM ticket would cost 13500 FPP, this was better

No if you haven't completed the package you are chasing by the end of the month they are put into your stars coin balance on the 1st of the month. New month begins and you have to start collecting again, when you reach the max the are also put into your stars coin balance. and so on.... so basically if you bust your account mid way through a package you have to wait til the next month to get those starcoins. In contrast to before the new year where they went into your account as you played games.
