I’ve been spending some time playing low-stakes cash games on Stake Poker and my experience has been a bit mixed. The games run smoothly and there always seems to be action, which is nice if you don’t want to wait for tables. At the same time, the player pool feels very aggressive, with a lot of loose calls and big swings. That can be good for value, but it also increases variance, especially at the micro stakes. I’m still adjusting my strategy to deal with the fast pace and frequent all-ins. For anyone who plays cash games on Stake, how do you approach these games compared to more traditional poker sites?

When I played on Stake Poker, most of the players seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Many play like bots, mixed with a few regulars. In my opinion, the key there is patience, because people will call all ins with almost anything. It can be annoying, since sometimes they hit with very marginal hands, but in the long run it should be profitable if you play solid poker.
