Update through August 11

Back on the $0.25/$0.50 PLO tables for me today. This time I skipped the SNGs and went straight to double-tabling the PLO. I played 315 hands, let up $3.60 and earned 166.20 FTP (my personal best for a single day.)
I didn’t wok on any of the Academy challenges today.

1) Biggest Bonus Ever (Earn 1667 base FTP) - I've earned 814 base points and cleared $48.81 and my bankroll has increased $45.57 since I started trying for this on Friday 7/31. I need to average 47.39 points per day through 8/29 to clear the full bonus.

2) FTP Academy Challenges (Earn 2000 Academy credits) –So far I have earned 1,372 Academy credits. I need to earn 668 credits to reach my goal.

3) FTP One-A-Day (Earn 1 FTP every day) - I've earned at least 1 FTP all 11 days in August. 20 days left to earn 1 point per day.

4) ) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 11 days in August. My bankroll has increased $50.99 in August. The same bankroll applies to both the FTP One-A-Day and the Ironman Bronze as they both started with play on August 1. I need to earn 50 points on 9 different days to reach Ironman Bronze. I need to earn 50 points on 14 different days to earn Ironman Silver.

5) Full Tilt Points (grab bunches!) – 1,068.68 Full Tilt Points earned. 9,998,931.32 FTP to go for the Mini Cooper! LOL!

Most likely I'm going to concentrate on the PLO as long as I don't have any major losses there. I can really rack up the FTP playing those tables.

I was begging to think that I was going be marginal on accomplishing the Biggest Bonus ever, but If I can even come close to break even playing the PLO, I should be able to get there handily.

I got home a little later than normal tonight. I decided just to play enough $0.25/$0.50 PLO to get my 50 FTP and then switch over to 2NL to try to accomplish some academy challenge tasks. It was really dragging after I switched over to 2NL, so I decided to make an early night of it. I played a total of 203 hands and was up $1.44.

1) Biggest Bonus Ever (Earn 1,667 base FTP) - I've earned 865 base points and cleared $51.87 and my bankroll has increased $47.01 since I started trying for this on Friday 7/31. I need to average 47.17 points per day through 8/29 to clear the full bonus.

2) FTP Academy Challenges (Earn 2,000 Academy credits) –So far I have earned 1,409 Academy credits. I need to earn 591 credits to reach my goal.

3) FTP One-A-Day (Earn 1 FTP every day) - I've earned at least 1 FTP all 12 days in August. 20 days left to earn 1 point per day.

4) ) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 12 days in August. My bankroll has increased $52.43 in August. The same bankroll applies to both the FTP One-A-Day and the Ironman Bronze as they both started with play on August 1. I need to earn 50 points on 8 different days to reach Ironman Bronze. I need to earn 50 points on 13 different days to earn Ironman Silver.

Horrid night of PLO. Just couldn’t flop anything and when I did I kept getting out drawn time and time again. Well, that’s why it’s called variance. I need to set some limits on nights like this and walk away earlier even if it means not making my Ironman numbers. I was down $54.34 on the day playing PLO.

1) Biggest Bonus Ever (Earn 1,667 base FTP) - I've earned 925 base points and cleared $55.46 and my bankroll has decreased $7.84 since I started trying for this on Friday 7/31. I need to average 46.38 points per day through 8/29 to clear the full bonus.

2) FTP Academy Challenges (Earn 2,000 Academy credits) –So far I have earned 1,409 Academy credits. I need to earn 591 credits to reach my goal.

3) FTP One-A-Day (Earn 1 FTP every day) - I've earned at least 1 FTP all 13 days in August. 18 days left to earn 1 point per day.

4) ) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 13 days in August. My bankroll has decreased $2.42 in August. The same bankroll applies to both the FTP One-A-Day and the Ironman Bronze as they both started with play on August 1. I need to earn 50 points on 7 different days to reach Ironman Bronze. I need to earn 50 points on 12 different days to earn Ironman Silver.

Unfortunately you had a bad time at the cash table, hopefully you do well in todays PLO session. Maybe you should play a little NL Hold em, do you still play SNG's? Best of luck.

Hard for me to play SNGs on week days and still get to 50 points. For now it's probably cash session during the week and SNGs and cash session on the weekend.

If I have another bad session of PLO, I'll switch over to NLHE for a while just for a change of pace.

I'm learning lessons right now and trying not to loose my bankroll doing so.

From the $25 I got in my 3rd place finish on tuesday's CC freeroll, I just have $30 now. I've gotten over $40, but keep going down to $30. I'll do good in the 5/10c NL hold em tables, but then do terrible at the 1/2c, 2/5c PLO and NL hold em tables. I think i'm just going to call it quits at the PLO tables for now, haven't had a possitive session in a while.

I've played two SNG's and did terrible, so I think i'll be passing on them aswell. GL and TC.

I had another down day playing PLO. I was down $30.80 but I did manage to get my 50 FTP.

The weekend is here and I’m going to slow down my play some and concentrate on the Full Tilt Academy challenges. I’ll be playing a lot of 2NL to try clear task related to some NLHE tasks. I’ll probably swing around to some SNGs and some higher level cash during happy hour, but I want to get some Academy tasks cleared Saturday and Sunday.

1) Biggest Bonus Ever (Earn 1,667 base FTP) - I've earned 977 base points and cleared $58.62 and my bankroll has decreased $38.64 since I started trying for this on Friday 7/31. I need to average 46 points per day through 8/29 to clear the full bonus.

2) FTP Academy Challenges (Earn 2,000 Academy credits) –So far I have earned 1,409 Academy credits. I need to earn 591 credits to reach my goal.

3) FTP One-A-Day (Earn 1 FTP every day) - I've earned at least 1 FTP all 14 days in August. 18 days left to earn 1 point per day.

4) ) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 14 days in August. My bankroll has decreased $33.22 in August. Are they releasing yours in $10.00 Increments or do you have to clear the whole Bonus??

As I understand the way this one works is that it will release the $100 once you earn it or it will release whatever portion you do earn after 30 days if you fail to earn the entire $100.

This verbage is on the Biggest Bonus ever tracking page "Your bonus will be paid out in full when you earn all of the required Full Tilt Points or as a pro-rated amount at the end of the 30 day clearance period if you do not earn all of your points."

This one isn't being tracked in the bonus section of the cashier.

Update through August 15

Nothing major to report on the bankroll front. I spent a lot of time playing 2NL and managed to complete the “Pre-flop Play” Academy challenge and a few tasks in other challenges as well. I was up $7.02 on the day. I knocked out most of my Academy goal. I just need a few more points tomorrow to finish it off.
Tomorrow will be more of the same for me. I’ll be playing a lot of 2NL (6-tabling) to clear as more Academy challenges as possible. If necessary I’ll play either some PLO or PLO8 to clear my 50 points for the day. If either is going well, I’ll stick with it, but if I’m not up I’ll just clear enough points to get my 50.

A crazy up and down day ends down $3.84. I need to stay off the PLO and PLO8 tables for now and really concentrate of my NLHE play. I’m doing very well at 2NL (6-tabling) and at SNGs but really suck at the PLO and PLO8. I do still need to play some higher limit to clear the Biggest Bonus Ever and also get to Ironman Bronze (or Silver).
I clear 91 FTP today, so it was not a bad day overall, but I can do better.
I racked up some Academy credits today and easily burst through my target of 2,000.
Tomorrow I have a choir meeting for 16 year-old son and may not be able to get much more in than enough 2NL to get my 1 point to keep the One-A-Day going.

4) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 16 days in August. My bankroll has decreased $30.09 in August. I think taking a break from Omaha is a good idea. You're a great hold em player and thats what got you the BR.

I was able to get in a lot more play today than originally anticipated and actually got in enough to get my 50 FTP for Ironman today. I mixed playing 2NL and short-stacked 50NL. Overall I was up $11.74.

1) Biggest Bonus Ever (Earn 1,667 base FTP) - I've earned 1,172 base points and cleared $70.29 and my bankroll has decreased $23.77 since I started trying for this on Friday 7/31. I need to average 41.25 points per day through 8/29 to clear the full bonus.

2) FTP Academy Challenges (Earn 2,000 Academy credits) –So far I have earned 2,573 Academy credits. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED with 15 days to spare.

3) FTP One-A-Day (Earn 1 FTP every day) - I've earned at least 1 FTP all 17 days in August. 14 days left to earn 1 point per day.

4) ) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 17 days in August. My bankroll has decreased $18.35 in August. The same bankroll applies to both the FTP One-A-Day and the Ironman Bronze as they both started with play on August 1. I need to earn 50 points on 3 different days to reach Ironman Bronze. For now I'm tabling the Omaha. I need to work on my SNG game and get to where I can 4-table the $10+1 9-player SNGs comfortably. If I can do that I can get in 8 SNGs in approximately 2 hours (give or take) and get 56 FTP. That means I can get my Ironman.

Right now I'm not comfortable 4-tabling SNGs. Heck I'm not even comfortable 2-tabling. I thought I was, but my ITM and ROI are significantly better when I single table. I know both will go done as I multi-table, but I don't think they should be dropping off as much as they are.

This weekend during SNG madness should be interesting. I'm going to try starting a new SNG every 20 minutes and see how I do. SNG madness really brings out some bad SNG play, so hopefully I can do some damage this weekend.

Great job Tony, looks like your doing great at the SNG's and alright at the cash tables. Best of luck, and hopefully all goes well with the $11 SNG's.

You are correct TRB. Many people got different bonus offers for the Biggest Bonus Ever. And it's not really clear what the deciding factor was on who got what. I had just started playing ring on FTP pretty much a couple hours a day on 5nl and I quickly moved up to 10nl about two months before the Biggest Bonus Ever. My bonus was $200 and I got it released in $20 increments.

I've talked to other friends and some got the same bonus you did. and some got $100 that gets released in $10 increments. So like I said, I'm not sure how they decided who got what. I also read where someone got a $500 bonus and had not played that much, but I don't know if he was just kidding or what.

3) FTP One-A-Day (Earn 1 FTP every day) - I've earned at least 1 FTP all 21 days in August. 10 days left to earn 1 point per day.

4) ) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 21 days in August. My bankroll has increased $20.49 in August. Horrid day no matter whether I was playing 50NL or $5.50 SNGs I simply couldn’t get a hand to up. I lost at least $80 today when I flopped sets and lost to runner, runner straights. ARG! Down $39.15 on the day.

3) FTP One-A-Day (Earn 1 FTP every day) - I've earned at least 1 FTP all 22 days in August. 9 days left to earn 1 point per day.

4) ) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 22 days in August. My bankroll has decreased $18.15 in August. The same bankroll applies to both the FTP One-A-Day and the Ironman Bronze as they both started with play on August 1. I need to earn 50 points on 3 different days to earn Ironman Silver. I played some 50NL this morning (up $3.71) and several $5 SNGs this afternoon (up $20.00) for total of up $23.71.


1) Biggest Bonus Ever (Earn 1,667 base FTP) - I've earned 1,667 base points and cleared $100.00 .My bankroll has decreased $9.87 while I was clearing the bonus. A net gain of $91.13. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED 8/23.

2) FTP Academy Challenges (Earn 2,000 Academy credits) –So far I have earned 3,528 Academy credits. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED 8/16.

3) FTP One-A-Day (Earn 1 FTP every day) - I've earned at least 1 FTP all 23 days in August. 8 days left to earn 1 point per day.

4) ) Ironman Bronze (Earn 50 FTP on 20 different days) - I've earned at least 50 base points all 23 days in August. My bankroll has increased $5.05 in August (excluding the $100 bonus). The same bankroll applies to both the FTP One-A-Day and the Ironman Bronze as they both started with play on August 1. I need to earn 50 points on 2 different days to earn Ironman Silver. IRONMAN BRONZE ACCOMPLISHED 8/20.

Congrats on accomplishing the "Biggest Bonus Ever" challenge and the ATP Academy challenges. And congrats on getting Ironman Bronze aswell, and the other goals you set and accomplished. Hope all goes better from now on, and you don't have to many bad days like the one you had yesterday. But there's many good and bad days to come, its poker.
