Unibet no longer offered in Canada?

I have been busy with work and family the last year, so have been pretty inactive in Cardschat and poker in general. I decided this morning to try some Unibet and got a popup that my software needed to be updated. When I clicked on the link, it said the site is not available in my Country or region. Can someone confirm this, or was it an error that I need to get around?

It was announced just the other day that Kindred Group, which owns Unibet, was recently granted a license for the Ontario region for iGaming and sports betting. As I understand it, the "iGaming" category includes poker among other things, and Unibet will open in Ontario on April 4th.

I don't really know how these things work, but maybe as they enter a regulated market within Canada, they might have to shut down access in other (still not licensed) regions of Canada to compy with rules? (Presuming they have operated in the "grey area" before this?)

Unibet operates in very few countries I think , maybe they should try to buy mire licences , enter more markets , like Greece for ex

A little bit of an update, I can play Unibet on my iphone, but not on my ipad. It’s still a mystery considering they are the same system, but Unibet isn’t even in the App Store
