Trying out Drivehud 2 currently wondering what the best way to customize the HUD would be so I have useful info without feeling like my screen is cluttered to hell. What stats are best to have on there? I mostly play MTTs and SnGs currently. Any recommendations?

VPIP PFR and 3-Bet are essential, but after that the question becomes do you know what numbers you're supposed to be looking for with the stat you're talking about.

Most of the Hand Trackers have a few built in HUDs that come as a default. I would recommend to find a simple one and try and learn what frequencies you should be looking for before you add more stats to it.

After that you can add some information on how they play in the blinds like how often they fold their blinds to pre-flop raises or raise and 3 bet in a given configuration but it's something you should look to get into slowly.

But if you don't know what the optimal or good frequencies are the bigger and more advanced your HUD is just takes up more space on your screen while not providing you with any benefit.

Hope this helps outline how to approach a new HUD and adding stats to it.

Thanks! I am familiar with the basic stats you mentioned and have at least some grasp on what I'm looking for there, but as you say most of the other things I'm not as familiar with and so mostly ignore right now. I think I'll take your advice and find a template thats as simple as possible for now while I do more research and get a better feel for the other stats.

I will not give you the most common answers like (VPIP, PFR or 3-Bet, for example)... I'll give you a very specific, but useful, stat that I used to have on H2N4 when I was using it:

"Fold percentage on bet on turn after calling a check-raise on flop".

I don't know if you can create this with every poker tracker, but Hand2Note has this feature.

Anyway, the idea of creating this state is to know how passive and submissive a weak player is against check-raise; most part of the weak players fear this more than they should and insta pay the raise just by pride and/or to try to not look like he is afraid and with a weak hand to the opponent (in this case: you).

If you have this stat with you, you may be able to know if this player usually surrender after being stressed by a check-raise and this will make you get way more chips than you would if you didn't know this info about him...

The bad part of this is that you will need to play a lot of hands until you reach this situation enough times against each player.

Wow that's very specific indeed! I can see how that could be something to take advantage of, especially in formats where you might run into the same players often enough to get a good sample size on them. Thanks for the explanation!

If you need help with DH2, you can DM @John A
As for HUDs, I suggest using the prebuilt ones first, all the needed stat are already there. You can also get free HUD specifically for MTT in HUD store.

This means minimizing overhead, providing clear data, and being intuitive. The main goal of a HUD is to provide critical information without distracting the user from the main overview.
