not sure about this one here, compared to back then I don't even think more goals are being scored now than back then but even if it is the case it's being done my more of the team
This is impossible, in my opinion.
Messi didn't have Yamal numbers in the same age, it's true, but he didn't play in the main team for a reason. The reason was Ronaldinho in his best.
At 17 years old, Yamal scored and assisted 5 times more than Messi and Ronaldo combined. At 17 years old, Yamal already has 100 matches, 22 goals and 33 assists. Cristiano and Messi at this age had only ten assists between them.amal costs 180 million euros.
We are lucky to live in the times of Ronaldo and Messi. Future generations will only be able to dream of such players. A guy like Yamal could clean their boots.
Lamine Yamal is the real deal- what a talent but will he have more goals than Messi and Ronaldo combined? I don't think this is possible as both CR7 and Messi have/ had a football profile more towards scoring goals, while Yamal seems to be more of a team player and assists more than he scores(like other members wrote, he has 22 goals and 33 assists at just 17 yo- while his transfer market is close to $200m- just WOW), plus the longevity part is a factor too- I mean, players that don't retire when they're close to 40 yo and are relatively healthy/ in good shape sport wise- are the exception and not the rule and we'll have to see how Yamal will be doing in the next few years and/or later in his football career... still, it's great to see players like him coming up
I don't believe he'll come close to Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo; it will take time before we can have players like them again, and even more so before they're playing at the same time.
