Benfica making a lot of money this couple of years on transfers. But as Darwin Nunez was a "big transfer" he still didnt prove his worth, so basicly Milions are only on paper. Football change a lot , but not everything showing it value in $.

The players still get paid way too much in my opinion. Some of the wages are ridiculous. I know there playing the highest level of football and they should be paid well for it, but I can't justify players making like 300k a week

They spent so much money, but they play even worse than before. New owner just spat some money. In the summer he will spit much more (if financial fair play doesn't kick in).
