There is wsop, isn't it? The thing is this kind of competition would require some time nad shit ton of volume. Too much luck factor for olympics, imo.

I think this game will never be played at the Olympics. No i dont think that it will happent because if they wanted they would already make poker like nathional game.World economy is dying and i am worried that because of that many more countries will ban more poker sites so they can earn more taxes

In my country, poker is quite a popular game. But I personally don't consider poker a sport. Poker is a game of chance in the full sense of the word. Of course, poker has some features in common with sports, but a lot of activities have features in common with sports. I don't think that poker will ever become an Olympic sport.
