Can any other fan of a baseball team make a similar argument?

I think what makes it worse is expecting to have success and then having the franchise tease you year after year. It also sucks having your neighbors brag in your face about all the # of titles their team has won (Yankees), many of said titles those fans were never alive to witness.

I hate the Mets and I am glad they aren't performing well.

The Braves will coast to an NL East division crown.

Unfortunately you should be used to it. They have a proven track record to blow a season after the All Star break. Regardless of the General mangers in present and past, the Mets there lack of run support is absolutely killing them. They need a real second baseman, could of made a move on Orlando Hudson who went to Minnesota I think. Johan Santana and Oliver Perez are both significant season upset assets which they're basically wheel barreling. Not looking good at all.
