I feel like Super Bowl 2026 wasn't what we expected. I think we were expecting more. The game was good, but it lacked excitement. What do you all think?

The game needs to be faster paced (or is it fast paced?), I'd watch a "turbo" or "hyper" league if there were any

Honestly, the game itself was pretty boring. It felt very one-sided, like there was only one team on the field, and there was never any real sense of a comeback or drama. For me, and probably for most people, the Super Bowl wasn’t very exciting at all. The playoff games before the Super Bowl were way more entertaining and competitive than the final itself.

The answer is to record it on PVR…then you can watch it fast forward in 35 to 40 minutes without commercials or having to listen to mundane commentary in between plays.

Halftime Show: Headlined by Bad Bunny, the show received mixed reviews, ranging from "best ever" to "worst of this century," often depending on the viewer's appreciation for his music and the symbolic, cultural performance style.

I hear you — this Super Bowl felt a bit different from the hype, and I think there are a few reasons for that.

1️⃣ The game itself was solid but not a nail-biter
The Seattle Seahawks ended up beating the New England Patriots 29–13, with their defense dominating most of the game and limiting big explosive drives from the Pats. That kind of control can look efficient — but not super exciting — from a fan perspective.

2️⃣ The early part of the game lacked big momentum swings
For a good chunk of the first half, neither offense really lit up the scoreboard — field goals and defensive stands dominated. That can leave viewers feeling like the game was “slow,” even if the strategy was interesting to watch.

3️⃣ The halftime show was one of the more talked-about parts
Bad Bunny delivered a standout performance that many fans loved, especially with the cultural representation and energy he brought. So for some people the entertainment felt stronger than the sporting drama.

4️⃣ Expectations matter
There was a lot of buzz leading up to the game — new quarterbacks, rematch storyline — so when it didn’t come down to the wire or feature last-minute heroics, it felt less exciting even though the execution was solid at a pro level.

For me, it was a well-played game with a clear game plan by Seattle, but not a classic “back-and-forth” Super Bowl that keeps casual fans glued until the final minute.

I'm a big Patriots fan. I got what I expected.
The Seahawks were the best team this season.
The Pats couldn't surprise me unfortunately, Maye didn't have enough time because of the offensive line and because the WRs couldn't break away.
And the defense held out as long as it could against a fantastic offensive line.
They need a few signings to the line, to receivers, and the Pats could really be a SB prospect.

Bad Bunny was a nightmare for me, I've never heard of him in my life, but as a rocker, I don't want any more. :)

Didn't even watch it, nothing against NFL in general but I'm just not a sports fan overall.

This years Super Bowl kind of felt like a defensive snore. There really wasnt much hype leading up to it. I feel like most fans were hoping to see the Los Angeles Rams make it instead of the more methodical Seattle Seahawks. The matchup just didnt scream “instant classic.” The game itself had its moments, but overall it felt slow and grindy. The halftime show was interesting though. It didnt have universal appeal, but I will give it credit for being different. It felt more like a Broadway production with complex staging and some cool surprise guests, which was creative. Commercials were fine, but nothing really stood out. No big risks, no shocking or hilarious ads like in past years, just kind of safe. Overall, pretty forgettable. I will add the link to the halftime show and the Super Bown commercial, for those who wanna see. The one commercial with melissa mccarthy was funny tho.

That's actually a great idea, kind of like when you used to record your favorite TV series or movie when you were away from home

Nice to see the record for Super Bowl field goals in a single game was set . Otherwise , not much to enjoy unless you were a Seattle fan .

For me it was disappointing because of the dominance of only one team on the playing field
