This year, one of baseball's powerhouses took the title: VENEZUELA—my country.

And regarding the MVP award, he beat out players like Judge, Ohtani, and Soto. The Venezuelan Maikel García surprised everyone—even back home in Venezuela—by outshining stars such as Acuña Jr., Eugenio Suárez, and Arráez.

Italy proved to be a major surprise. The Dominican Republic left disappointed, while Japan and the USA—which reached the final—were both cast aside by Venezuela.
