$1 NLHE MTT Rebuy: Accidentally betting for value with counterfeited pair

The tournament is a 1$ R+A on 888 Poker, which mean, its more like a 3$ MTT because of the rebuys and addons. When the opponent checked back flop, I felt, I had the best hand, so I bet the turn for value and some equity denial. River dubble paired the board and counterfeited my hand, and I decided to turn it into a bluff to get him to fold his busted draws, of which there were quite a few. He called, and much to my surprice I shipped the pot. Unfortunately 888 Poker no longer show hands, that were mocked at showdown, but I can only assume, he had a counterfeited pair worse than mine and failed to understand, what had happened

The river bet is a decent bluff if opponent folds a lot as you probably dont have Qx but you could play this way with 10x. We think we know villain does not have a Q as they would not have just called turn imo and the 2nd 10 coming on the river means its unlikely they have a 10. If you think this is a villain that could fold Ax here then its not bad. Most villains wont fold Ax here so its bad in the long run. What did they call with that worse than your 8 high? Had to be a smaller pocket pair which does not make a lot of sense to call with.

Makes no sense at all, except he wanted to see your hand... also can't put anything else except 33-77, maybe the small connector flush draws, as make the call on river makes the same sense with a 77 like with a 76s or 65s

Yeah it must have been another "3 pair hand". Pretty common beginner mistake to misread a dubble paired board. Saw you at the CC ACR freerool today. Was sleepless so for just the second time ever I decided to play it (2 am in my time zone). I think, we were on the same table down to 27, 18 gets paid, when my AKs ran into AA, and that was the end of that. Got around 3 hours of extra sleep after that, so not to unhappy about busting. I am considering to deposit on ACR and try to grind their SnGs, so maybe we will see each other again

Hopefully we will for your sake, wont be much fun for me going against you lol. Yeah I was there to see the AK suited run into AA. You have a large skill advantage if you play those where I am probably just a little above average in them. Good luck at the tables and Im sure we will run into each other again.

That sucks! What CEO fool thought that was a good feature to implement? Does your HUD/Tracker show the hand that was mucked ?
IMO all hands that go to showdown should be tabled - online and live.

To your other response - what's your ACR name FD? I will look for you in the future in the ACR CC events, even though it is quite late (or is it early?) for you to play.
