$3.3 NL HE STT: Learn from the opponents - dont get cute with a short stack near the bubble

This hand is from an 8-man SnG on ACR Poker. We are still 6-handed, but CO is very short and sitting out, and SB is even shorter. So essentially this is already the bubble, which mean, that a middling stack does not want action from larger stacks even with a hand as strong as AK. So the play here for UTG is to move all-in, which would have caused me to not defend Q4s. His play would be ok with a stronger hand like AA or KK, but not with AK, because AK is never that far ahead.

I see this hand play out all the time. I never understood why they play AK this way. Never play cute on the bubble unless you want to lose.
