I've been studying and practicing mid-stack play (35–50bb) in 8-max MTTs and noticed that 3-bet dynamics can be very different from deeper stacks.
For example, I find myself 3-betting a bit tighter from the blinds, and sometimes even flatting more IP to keep weaker hands in.
How do you adjust your 3-bet and 4-bet ranges in this stack depth? Do you prefer more linear or polarized strategies depending on position?
Would love to hear how others think about these spots — especially versus aggressive openers or when ICM pressure starts to matter.
