Is a break of 5 minutes too long or too short?

I remember a few years ago, the five-minute breaks were perfect for me,maybe too much. This has now been changed for me, if I play a few hours can be very few, I can almost never finish at the end of the break. I think 7-10 minute breaks would be appropriate.

good in long tournaments if they agree, but in a tournament where you are in your own home I do not see the need

I just spent...5 1/2 hours in a allout chip fest on BOL....and NOW...I'm taking about a 12 hour break!!

yes...5 minutes is not enough.....
I ran out of coffee after about 2 hours...and no time to run on down to the convenience store to pay WAY TOO MUCH for a bag of Maxwell house.
Now...8 minutes..and I would've hauled tail down to the corner store and got my coffee!

ON A SERIOUS NOTE...I'd like to see a 15 minute break about 3 hours in.
I understand the 5 minute time on the rest of them...we'd be playing extra hours of play if the timing was longer on those breaks. My opinion only.:icon_cycl

I think it would be better if each hour had a small break (3min) and after 3 hours a bigger break of 10 or 15min.

I think 5 minutes every hour is enough, enough to go the restroom and get something to drink and stretch in the middle of it.

I've always had 5 minutes, if you're ready to play long sessions, then prepare for them in advance I mean food and drinks.

Yes, the break in the game is needed every hour, but sometimes a little 5 minutes for a break, I think that 10 minutes or 15 minutes would be fine for a break in the game!

I think its perfect,if you have something to do,you can finish it in 5 minutes most of the time and if you are just waiting for the tournament to continuce 5 minutes will pass fast, so its pretty good,anything longer would be to much

I like the sites that start the break on time & if your table is still in a hand you get less than 5 minutes. I don't sign up for tourneys to get breaks. The missing one hand alters the whole tourney argument, really?

Well, it's clear that 5 minutes is not enough, but if you do it more, for example 10 tournaments and slow game speed will go even longer, well, if it adapts in 5 minutes you can do all your business ... well, or spend time bank that everything is fine

The time is good for me, only a toilet visit can be difficult sometimes. But at the end, I have my phone with me (so no worry).

I think 5 min. is fine . But when playing multible tourns. and the site doesn't keep simultaneous breaksit gets a little difficult if you happen to get deep in 2 different tourns.

5 minutes seems like the right amount of time for a break. I only suggest they offer some alternative and have maybe a 10-15 minute break every 2 hours of an mtt, instead of having a 5 minute break every hour.
