Well, your thoughts are correct, I would throw off 100%, but it really makes sense to take risks, and if you move and you lose everything

I folded AKs preflop because it was a satellite bubble, there was no point in risking it, I was in the prize, I would even fold AA.
Good question brother.
Look, I think that I could retire if I am in a bubble for a very important prize, and I know that I am comfortable in the prize.
With AKs or AKo almost certainly, and with AA hand in hand I would doubt it a bit.
Because you really have to go for the jackpot, and although nothing guarantees that with AA luck will be with you, it is a hand that you lose one out of every 5 times. It is very difficult to fold AA.
I would pay and start praying kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
My regards, brother:):):):)

It is common for experienced players to fold AK, AQ, AJ, AA, KK, QQ, JJ, and it is common for experienced players to go all-in with 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88.

Many of us have folded with AA or AK but it is because it was the correct "strategy" at the time. It is not worth risking entering the prize zone being so close to achieving it. And if those cards are played it should be when the bankroll is not risked in its entirety. It is my modest opinion

Wasn't there already such a topic?) or it just seems so to me... :)

I'll tell you a little story that my friend did in poker, and you already draw conclusions.
And so he had a passing stack in a tournament in which the minimum prize was $500, and there was a 2-day tournament, but that's not important. And so it was interesting when he had AA and the stack in front of him, which was bigger than him by only a couple of blinds, went all-in. Of course, he pocketed like AA, that's cool!) And what do you think?) there was 66 and the flop fell 6. That's all

Pre flop I have never folded AA. I have folded AK pre flop, usually when there is already 3 or so people pushed all in

Satellite Bubble calls for folding entire range in some spots. There is no EV to gain, it's an extreme ICM case.

I have folded AK (many times) and AA (on 1-2) occasions and they were all for the same reason, waiting for the bubble to burst, many times it is a risk that I do not want to take, much less being very close to ITM, sometimes It is difficult to fold those cards but I prefer to insure and then risk

A couple of times I have folded them because I was close to the bubble and I did not want to risk being very comfortable in chips, but other times if I have taken a risk, I think my intuition helps me a lot to make that decision because to be honest it is not easy to decide to fold. a pair of AA without seeing the flop

So as some have already said, it depends on the situation. If you are close to the bubble in a satellite and you have enough chips, you can do that to get the ticket for sure.

On the bubble in a tournament I might even fold AK if I have to go all in and can't see the flop.

But I would not fold AA and KK in a tournament. There is no shame in being eliminated from the tournament with such a hand. After all, the goal is to win the tournament or to get as far as possible to win a high prize in relation to the stake.

Yes, it's very sad when you get knocked out on the bubble and maybe even played a few hours of poker, but that's poker and it's happened to me a few times and I'm banging my fist on the table and screaming **** you when I lose with the bad beat because my opponent 82o wanted to play all in.

I folded AKs many times preflop, this hand is worth 50/50 even against 22. I've never folded AA preflop in my life.

As described, of course you fold, either hand, every time. Not doing so indicates a lack of understanding of the game you are playing.

agree with folding aces in a bubble satellite spot unless you have a very low stack. however ak suited is easier to fold in other icm as well like on a final table of a tournament if a player with less than 5 bb shoves and then the biggest stack reshoves if you have a big or an average stack you might consider folding because of icm. also if 2 or more players go all in preflop in most cases one of the players will have a pair so ak will be behind in most scenarios.

On a satellite bubble it can be correct to not play any hand, if you are sure, you will be able to fold your way to a ticket. Or at least not risk a substantial amount of your chips even with AA preflop. But other than that AKs and AA are very different hands preflop. AA is the nuts and is always in great shape preflop even against the entire table. AKs however is in very bad shape, if someone else has AA, and its also not ahead of any high or medium pocket pair. Finally AKs can be in pretty bad shape multiway, if someone has a pair, and someone else has AK as well. Or if multible players have hands with an A or K, which block its outs. So while AKs is a hand, we are often happy to stack off with preflop, there are certainly spots, where our best option is to fold due to the action of other players. Or to just call and see a flop.

depending on the situation, I don't mind folding any two cards, as long as it makes some sense to me.

if you are close to your goal, it is not worth risking everything. I see it that way.

I have never folded AA pre flop, but I have folded AK. Similar situation, was close to the bubble and didn't want to take the chance
