How many tables are preferred at once

I've tried playing multiple MTT at same time and i was unable to manage more than 3 cuz you get a limited amount of time and you couldn't act on all good hands at once so i missed a lot of chances where I could've profited due to fast pace and it was difficult to focus too

Well, it's good to focus on one table, and we usually play live poker on one table as well, so in my opinion, it's better to focus on one or two tables at most.

The optimal number is, whatever you are comfortable with. This depend on the person and also the gadget used. Multitabling on a phone is hardly ideal, and neither is 10+ tables on a small screen laptop.

Hi

I can easily play 4 or more tables. But when I started, it was difficult for me to play even two. It's a matter of your experience. Take your time. Play two tables for a start, and in six months or a year you will be able to play three tables easily

I usually play 4 to 8 tables, more than that it gets a bit difficult to maintain a good game.

I've tried up to 8 tables at once but I find it impossible to concentrate on all the player tendencies...multitasking more that 2 seems to suit people who are mining results rather than playing poker

I usually only play one table, I'm not a skilled player and two is already really pushing it for me.

Increase the number of tables gradually — I used to play no more than two, but now 8 or more is no problem for me.

Presumably you mean highest hourly winrate, because our ROI will always drop, when we add more tables, because then we cant focus as much on each of them. And besides the fact, this curve has an optimum, which is different from person to person and depend on the equipment used, we probably also need to take into account, that we will get tired faster, if we play many tables.

So playing a bit less tables might allow for longer sessions, which can then compensate for a lower hourly winrate. Excessively multitabling can be a bit like racing down the german autobahn in an electric car only to spend the time, we saved, and then some, for extra charging stops, which could have been avioded, if we drove at a more reasonable speed.

Yes. I meant to write ROTI (Return on Time Invested), a not-so-common term in Poker.

I tried playing at more than one table, but it was several years ago, and it was awful. Since then I have never tried and I am not going to inthe future either.

Three tables at once is a good choice,I play three and it works fine.I have tried a higher amount and I could not keep up with the pace. I have also tried less and I got bored and played hands I should not just to get some poker action.

You can play 2-3 tournaments together. If you play more, mathematically there is no profit. But if you want to enjoy the game and have a complete idea for each game then 2 games is better!

I play a different number of tables on different days of the week. But I don't play less than 2-3 tables. On weekends, I can play 4-6 tables at different sites. On weekdays, I play 2-4 tables.
If you find it difficult to play 3 tables, play two. Don't sacrifice the quality of the game for the sake of the number of tables, it makes no sense.
