I agree limping has become a standard at the tables, maybe to see the flops cheaply and for polarize too, but its really hard to me limping AA!

The limp is really being used a lot, however all fashion covers a range of people who only do what they see, but don't really understand why.

Live limp sb vs bb has been used a lot for example, balancing the range with speculative hands and value traps, however my perception of this is that there has been a change in ante structures, by the button, the button pays the same amount of the blind and is replaced by the ante. With that, the sb has much more odds to only complete the bb with a wider range of hands and it becomes essential to balance this limping range with value.
The next step is to adapt the bb defense to this new trend.

Limping with AA is very good with a 20bb effective stack - with aggressive opponents, at a passive table it doesn't make any sense to limp with AA and play versus 5 players postflop and lose all your equity.

People overvalue top pair
and bet their draws on the flop
having Aces in your range is deadly at that point for alot of equity

You should always be playing GTO

This Strategy is when your GTO is being shutdown by other GTO players

Switch to this strategy and range in early to mid positions to EXPLOIT those players

BY ALL MEANS SWITCH Strategys to what is OPTIMAL for that SITUATION
