Read these a while ago. Can be summed up as: you need to get better at cash.

WOW....I feel like I need a refresher in math after reading that but basically I agree the odds are against the average player making a living off of MTT's....I'm sure this $200% ROI streak will come to an end an crush my dreams soon enough (that and the fact that I'm def. the avg poker player if not below!!)!

Really enlightening reads, and makes sense since the large field MTTs always have that large variance factor.

Add in the 45man SNG's imo. (& maybe the 27's &/or 180's too). Along with some 500CAP tourneys while on Stars.
Many other networks you're playing alot of smaller field stuff. Sometimes not as appealing (no huge payouts) but more practical for sure.

Personally I'm just an MTT player and i turn an ok profit at the micros.I put that down to the fact i do alot of research and watch alot of training videos.Which keeps me up to date with things like bet sizing shoving ranges etc.Now if could just learn how to win flips late in tourneys i would be a star!!!!!:p

Not sure what you mean? Did you read the OP's linked article? My response was just a suggestion for MTT players who typically play large-field MTT's (based on the info. the article was providing for us). Basically a way to help offset the expectation of variance (over a decent sample size) that even a solid 'winning' MTT player can have. Quite awhile back, I actually came across a number of players who were all solid MTT players (on FTP) and noticed many of them were regs. in the 45man sng's. Google-searched some of their names & discovered that many of them knew each other as there was a poker forum devoted to the 45man game (reg. speed blinds on FTP).

.. not sure if that answers your question.
