Nope, just fold. Ok occasionally he will have a bluff but not often enough

I think, everything is fine, until you face a raise. And I would also fold without a strong read. Its a multiway pot, and if BB had a worse made hand like top pair, he would almost certainly just call again. Maybe he can occationally have a flushdraw, but thats pretty much the only hand, you beat, and 87 just turned a straight. So there is a lot of value, you lose to, and not all that many potential bluffs.

Even if V is very aggressive, he could OTT a hand like 9T as a bluff, although in MWB he will almost certainly have the nuts (78). This is a standard fold there.

Vs 90% of V this is an easy fold. This is why we take notes to know if V is part of the 10%--maybe still a fold but not just an easy muck

I would suggest however that your real study spot here is your bet sizing.

Preflop we have JJ we do not want to go multiway and if we do go multiway we want the SPR low so that our V's chasing are making bad decisions.

when we make it 15 the pot is now 23- BB has to call 13 more to win 36-- pot plus their call 2.77-1 odds and BB is thinking straddle calls if I call so BB odds are really 13 to win 46 3.58-1

While yes, it is true that we have 52% equity vs those 2 ranges we have 0 board clarity other than hitting a J on a board that is not connected in anyway. we have no idea of our post flop hand strength the calling ranges are just too wide. that means we cannot always realize the full equity of the hand --if we do not see the river card even as little as 10% of the time. a 5% reduction in equity leaves us at 47% multiway vs 67% HU. We want to be HU or win larger uncontested pots on flop or turn.
