Here’s a spot from a recent cash session (6-max NL50):
BTN opens 2.5x, I 3-bet from SB with A♠Q♠, BB folds, BTN calls.
Flop: T♥ 7♣ 2♠ – I c-bet 1/3 pot, BTN calls.
Turn: 4♦ – I barrel 70% pot, BTN tanks and calls again.
River: 9♠ – I shove.
Do you guys think this line is too aggressive, or is it fine as a triple barrel bluff spot?

Its ok. Not the best run out or hand to do it with though, surely you have plenty of weaker hands that can triple like KJs

It's an interesting hand, but it's underspecified. Your preflop sizing matters a little, and stack sizes matter a lot for the River jam. The site matters, too, and stats on V if you have them.

I would shut this down on the turn, since neither of your backdoor draws developed. If the turn card was :ks4: or :js4: then sure go for it, but on a complete brick like :4d4: I think, this is borderline spew. Its not even like, the river card changed the texture either, so if he liked his hand on the turn, why would he not also like it on the river. I think, for this to be profitable you would need some kind of read, that the opponent is massively overfolding to a tripple barrel in a 3-bet pot.

Build the ranges for you both on all streets then you will know what you are repping on the river and what your fold targets are in a 3-bet pot that is large on the river.

A key question is if the player was going to fold, why tank call turn and then fold to a 9 river?

The long answer is yes. Your opponents btn defense should be wider in theory here since your 3-bet SB range will be wider. Also, you can't expect them to have a big hand on a 9 high flop, so your betting is inconsistent w/ their likely range. JJ+ is 4-betting in this spot, so they aren't left w/ a lot of strong hands on this runout.
