I think it depends on the player and where they feel most comfortable. I love both but lean toward NL HI-LO more than PL Omaha

It's true that the variance is higher in PLO but it's not hard to win consistently if you are good at the game.

I think the appeal of Omaha compared to NLHE is there are way more hands to make, and pot-limit allows players to see more streets since you can control the action better than in a NL game, imo. If you've noticed there are more pots taken down pf and on the flop in a no-limit hold'em game. Omaha hands tend to see a river more often.
NLHE is where everyone/fish come to play poker; not so much w/Omaha. There's going to be more players w/some know-how in these games, I'm pretty sure. I myself like PLO-8, mainly for the rakeback tendencies. I still play hold'em, obv, since that's where the majority of the $ is at.

it's best to play what you like to play is the most important thing, and if you just don't know and choose between two games, you should just play No Limit Hold'em and all the best that is now and was back in the day, everyone loves and loves it

I prefer Texas Hold'em to Omaha. Omaha has a high variance and very rarely a Shawdown Valley

It will be more difficult for a beginner in Omaha. More cards, higher rake, higher average tilt, higher spread.Omaha is at least twice as difficult as Texas Hold'em.There is no golden time in Omaha either. Everywhere you need to work hard and then there will be a result.

If you are considering a game to make money, then I think this is definitely No Limit Hold'em. Omaha is a very interesting game, both 4-card and 5-card, but in Omaha the variance is much higher than in Hold'em and there are many more bad beats. Until the river opens in Omaha, it is very difficult to say who will be the winner in this hand. Hold'em is easier to play against a weak player, and Omaha is easier to play against a strong player. I like Omaha if I play it for fun, but if I made money playing poker, I would choose Hold'em. This applies to both online poker and live poker.

I think it depends of the type of player. I prefer Omaha cash games tables because I like there always action on these tables. NLH I prefer to play tournaments.

I think it depends on what games you're more comfortable with, you can build bigger pots with Omaha... even more so with Omaha Hilo which is what I play when I can find a game going, weekends or nights tend to have more people playing, personally I like nights the best😎👍
