How many hands are needed to realize if it is profitable? (cash)

Hi everyone.

I am beginning very slowly to walk the path of cash (NL2 in 6 max) and I have a doubt.
How many hands are needed to realize if it is profitable?
Is there any preset number of hands to know if I am a winner and have I beat the level?
10 K? 50 K? 100 K?
Is there a program to calculate the winrate? (I'm half slow for formulas).

If you are asking how many hands in a session. I suggest 150 to 200

150 to 200 hands doesn't say anything.

As a lot in poker it depends. What style are you playing if I may ask? Tight or loose and do you have a positive blueline negativ redline or both in the positive?

10k+ should give you an idea if you're playing profitable. 50k+ to be safe and being able to see a winrate. 500k+ in one limit for a "true" win rate.

Do you have some sort of tracking program like a HUD? If not I'd highly suggest you get one.

On a day from 1500 to infinity. I think it's not worth spending too much time on NL2, everything will be clear in 20 thousand hands. Than follow the bankroll management and listen to your heart.

Thank you very much for your answers.

I have no HUD for now and the hands played in NL2 are insignificant in terms of quantity.
For now I don't have a defined strategy but I tend to think that BSS will be the one I will definitely use.
I will take the advice of not playing long NL2, but for that I will have to deposit and see if I take advantage of some bonus.
My idea is to invest 100 dollars in total, 50 in a HUD and 50 in a deposit, but I am still analyzing this possibility.

Try to play around with this a little. Typical variance for 6-max is 100.

Why is it not worth spending time in NL2?
It´s a good way to practice without losing too much isn´t it?

When it becomes easier. It sounds simple but its true. You should set a goal for every day. Play set amount of time. Not too strictly. And even if you re profitable for the day you should get out of the game. You should stay at that level longer and gradually raise it. Like one day a week you raise it and rest you play the same level.

Minimum 10,000. Likely more. Low stakes games are soft, but the variance can be extreme. I have lost or won 10 buy-ins during stretches of a couple thousand hands.

Losses are more telling. Look at how you lose. What hands, positions and such. Plug the big leaks, then look at the hands you win and look for action patterns you can use elsewhere.

Just play that level until you earn enough to take shots at a higher level.
