Never even heard of it.. is it a US thing?
It's an American style Lager with no bottom feel to it. It tastes similiar to the other popular brand from Pennsylvania: Rolling Rock. Yuengling is a regional brand right now and won't be able to compete with Budweiser/ Miller/Coors which dominate the US Market. Yuengling is readily available here in Upstate NY but doesn't have a big market share as we have our own local brewery-High Falls Brewing (makers of Gensesee Cream Ale, Genny Light and some specialty brands) and we are also a huge market for the twin giants off Canadian brewing, Molson & Labatts.
Bear in mind that the average American Beer drinker likes mass produced Pilsner type beers with zero to minimal hopping that really can only be consumed when they are chilled to below 40 egrees fahrenheit. The stuff is awful when it gets even a little warm.
I am getting thirsty drinking this and can't wait to leave work. I have a separate refrigerator in my garage for beer and Soda which currently has about 7 or 8 varieties of beer in it including Smithwicks several varieties of Sam Adams, Saranac and Blue Point Toasted Lager.
When I finally make it to the UK my 1st stop after checking into the hotel will be to a pub, followed by an Indian Restaurant and then another pub.
I like beer.
