Hello everyone, I am a player in MTT tournaments but recently I started playing Snap cash at NL2. Is NL10 much different in cash games than in MTT tournaments?

What do you mean? Yes cash games very different to MTTs and 10NL will be significantly harder than 2NL

If you are new to cash games, then I will recommend to start with regular tables and not the fast fold format. Regular tables tend to be softer and allow you to learn the dynamics of exploiting bad players plus do a bit of table and seat selection. All of which are missing from fast fold games. If you are a winning tournament player, then I would not bother to begin with 2NL though. 10NL is a reasonable starting point, if you have at least a $300 bankroll. 10NL cash games should be softer than $11 MTTs, since it is essentially a lower stakes. But if you are not used to cash games, your skill edge will be much lower, than it is in tournaments, so its reasonable to move down a bit when trying to make such a transition.

Do you think 10NL and an $11 mtt are comparable? I never really considered the buy ins as like for like, but dont have experience of regularly grinding MTTs. My sense is MTTs are softer for the same buy in, at least in the early stages. E.g. every time i win a $109 ticket i'm just blown away by how bad most of the players are (at least at deepstack play)

No I think, $11 MTTs are tougher than 10NL cash games. As they should be, because effectively more money is at stake. $11 MTTs are more comparable to 25NL cash games.

My sense is MTTs are softer for the same buy in, at least in the early stages.

MTTs are generally softest in the early stage, because bad players tend to bust fast, and many MTT players are bad at playing with deeper stacks. If cash game players occationally play MTTs, they should definitely show up on time and not miss the early blind levels.

Could be because they are specific featured events, where many players have satellited in, who normally dont play anything near those stakes.
