If you are new to cash games, then I will recommend to start with regular tables and not the fast fold format. Regular tables tend to be softer and allow you to learn the dynamics of exploiting bad players plus do a bit of table and seat selection. All of which are missing from fast fold games. If you are a winning tournament player, then I would not bother to begin with 2NL though. 10NL is a reasonable starting point, if you have at least a $300 bankroll. 10NL cash games should be softer than $11 MTTs, since it is essentially a lower stakes. But if you are not used to cash games, your skill edge will be much lower, than it is in tournaments, so its reasonable to move down a bit when trying to make such a transition.
