Hi guys,
Sorry for the interruption in your study's, but i have a question for John.

Hi John,

Do you have a strategy for hyper turbo with 2 minute levels on a 9-handed table?

I would be much obliged if you could give some pointers:)

I'd love to help but I don't have any general strategy there, and I'm not much of a S&G player honestly. I've never been a big fan of them. I'm primarily a cash game player that honeymoons as a high stakes tournament player. :)

Maybe someone in the group can point you to a good resource?

do we 3b here? I feel it's super strong & CO is a decent reg. Flatting leaves us vulnerable to getting outdrawn. A K,Q would be pretty bad.

I ran some equilab numbers assuming the UTG would tag on and here's what I got. But if we disregard the UTG we have more equity

Yeah, these are always tough spots when there's no real draws present. Some draws, this is a good shove. Without, 3-betting looks strong, shoving is too strong versus the raising range. You just need to flat, and hope your opponent thinks you're a dumbass basically. :)

No turn raises before out of 6, we are beaten on turn by 9s & QT. With the BDFD I think this might be a jam? I was hesitant due to the size & his no raise stats

In my opinion you should've jammed the turn. Curious to see what John thinks.

How aggressive was he overall? I think calling the turn is best. You're ahead of KJ, AJ (probably 3 betting some % of the time), and J9, and there's not enough draws in his range on that turn. Think if you jam you're probably only being called by AJ, and KJ (% of the time). The river is close, and probably a call considering the BvB situation and the fact he could bet some worse 2 pairs, and there will be some bluffs in there. Think the fact the Q hits makes me learn towards a call since QT is the most reasonable hand you're behind at that point.

He was aggro before but I see some passiveness to his game recently. At least vs me cause I'm playing a bit more aggro

Is this a good bluff raise? We block AK,KQs & NFDs so I think this was fine by me

I mean it's fine to mix this in when you have the nfd, but ideally I'd prefer there were less draws on board. It's not a horrible board, so it's fine.

Almost 150 bbs deep on a flop like that, checking the flop is the best play. You're going to have a lot of mid pairs and SCs.

I don't hate betting the turn if our opponent checks the flop, more for equity protection because you're mainly folding out worse hands. I doubt he has AK often enough.

Most of your range should be checked on this flop because of texture and stack depth. So really only two pairs+ would I bet here, and I'd be checking nearly all over pairs and AK/AQ. It would be slightly off balance (not much), but it will make your more $'s. :)
