What’s your best fold ever?

Sometimes getting pocket pairs like Queens, Jacks, or even 10s feels really strong. But what do you do when someone 4-bets or goes all-in?

I once got pocket Kings, feeling like a boss. Suddenly, someone shoves all-in and another guy jumps in too! I get nervous and fold my Kings. Turns out, the all-in guy had pocket Aces, and the other called with pocket 5s. Aces win with a full house! I couldn't believe it—I saved myself INR 3200 (about $33). Sometimes folding feels like magic!

In some deep cash games, I have folded kings even to ONE player many times if they start to go crazy with the re-raises. Not without specific reads, of course. And sometimes you call just to set mine with the kings because you are so certain they have aces.

Yeah, I can understand and concur with what you said. But feels like a bit odd to fold pockets Ks many times against a specific player. I am pretty sure in few of those times he might have had AKs, pockets Qs or lower. 🤥

i rarely fold AA or KK, having said that, i have folding AA when there was a possible flush and the enemy goes all in, and i didnt have the right ace.

It’s totally fine to fold pocket Aces or Kings after having seen the flop and faced with aggression with many possible nut hands in the range. My situation/ question was about pre flop situations when faced with All-IN.

I never fold pocket Kings or Aces, no matter who goes all-in — maybe that’s a mistake. The only exception is satellites: when I see I have enough chips to advance and all I need to do is fold, I’ll throw away everything, even Aces.

I really don’t like pocket Kings. It’s a very strong hand, but I always have this paranoia that I’ll lose against an Ace.

Folded a straight flush in a 10 $ home game against a nit who raised a 10jqk (all diamonds) x river. I had the nine of diamonds.

Folded, showed and sure enough the other guy showed a royal flush.
