Do you love playing poker but hate the dealers that always seem to deal that river card to send the pot to your opponent, and would rather play against the house instead? Or you've wanted to take part in our casino competitions, but you just don't "get" the games? Well now's your chance to shine in our April Casino Competition. Join us for our Video Poker Competition!

How it Works
Play our selected free Video poker game (details below), and read the info below. One entry per day, up to 5 entries per week. Your top 5 results will count toward your score at the end of the month. Make sure to read our Entry Rules carefully so that every entry counts!

Details:

• Tournament Starts: Sunday, April 5th 12:01 am EDT
• Tournament Ends: Thursday, April 30th at 11:59 pm EDT
• Members will play a 20 minute session of Video Poker and post their score
• Maximum of 5 entries per week as follows:
  • Week 1: April 5th to April 11th
  • Week 2: April 12th to April 18th
  • Week 3: April 19th to April 23rd
  • Week 4: April 24th to April 30th
• Your Top 5 Scores will count toward Overall Scores for Cash and Casino Coins.
• ALL entries will be submitted into a drawing for t-shirts and extra cash!!!

Time used to define the weeks will be Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4).

Entry Rules
Read these carefully, as failure to comply will result in a voided entry.

• Must play the Jacks or Better game from provider - Red Rake Gaming.

• Post two (2) screenshots:
  • One before starting your session
  • One at the end of your session
• Your screenshots MUST show full game window including:
  • Game Icon and Title
  • Players online
  • Starting Balance / Start Time (with date)
  • Ending balance / End Time (with date)

• Members get 1 entry every 24 hours - NOT 1 entry per day
• Entries must be posted within 5 mins of the end date and time - NO EXCEPTIONS!
• Sessions must last 20 minutes - we will accept screenshots 19 to 21 mins apart - any more or less will not count
• Maximum of five (5) entries per week - 20 entries in total. Extra entries made in a week cannot roll over to the next week

How to Find the Correct Game

How to Play
Jacks or Better in video poker means that in order to win, your hand must be equal to or better than a pair of Jacks. We will go over game play below, but let's talk about the pay table and prize multipliers.

The game we are playing shows the payouts for each type of winning hand. Here are the prize multipliers for each hand:

While playing there is an in-game chart that shows your actual payout by hand type, depending on your bet.

Game Play
In video poker, you are not playing against any other players or a dealer. You are simply trying to make your best five-card hand, with the goal of getting at least a pair of Jacks (or better) to win a prize. It works just like 5-Card Draw:

• Adjust your bet and # of hands you wish to play accordingly.
• Click DEAL to start the deal.
• Player is dealt five cards.
• Determine which cards you want to "hold" or keep. Click on the cards you want to "hold".
  • You can choose to hold all your cards, or none of them.
• Once you have determined what you want to keep, click DRAW. This discards the cards you did not choose to hold or keep, and deals you new cards in their place.
• Your final hand is what you are holding after the draw.
• If you win a hand, make sure to click on the "Collect" button to add it to your balance!

Playing One Hand
Here is an example of gameplay with single hand. Note how the "Collect" button is clicked after winning a prize (click to enlarge).

Playing Multiple Hands
This game mode allows you to play up to 50 hands at the same time. How many hands and what you choose to bet is up to you. You will still have your main five-cards to play in front of you. What you choose to hold or discard in your main hand will also be held in your other hands, except each hand will dealt different cards with the draw. Here is a breakdown:

• Choose how many hands you want to play by clicking the + or the - on the "HANDS" buttons.
• Adjust your betting amount. Note that whatever amount you bet will be placed on each of the hands that you wish to play. Max bets shown below are applied to each hand played in a round.
  • Maximum bet limits depend on how many hands you choose to play.
  • One hand - Max Bet = 50€
  • Five Hands - Max Bet = 10€
  • 10 Hands - Max Bet = 5€
  • 25 Hands - Max Bet = 2€
  • 50 Hands - Max Bet = 1€
• Click DEAL.
• Choose your "hold" cards and click on them to keep. Notice that all your hands will show those cards that you select to hold or keep.
• Click DRAW. Notice that all your hands get dealt different cards alongside your hold cards.
• Winners are highlighted. You can scroll through the multiple hands to view the wins by drawing the scroll bar next to the hands, OR you can view in the left sidebar which categories you won.
• Click the COLLECT button if you win any prizes to add this amount to your playing balance!

Multi-Hand Gameplay Demonstration:

GAMBLE:
There is a button to the left of the Collect button that says "GAMBLE". Clicking this takes your winnings from your last hand, and places that amount on a "gamble" bet, where you are taken to a simple betting game where you bet your last hand's winnings on whether the card to be flipped will be Black or Red, and what suit it will be. I don't recommend doing this, as it's possible you will lose a big prize very easily. This is completely up to you, the player though. Here's what the GAMBLE looks like:

Strategy Tips:

• Your goal is to make at least a pair of Jacks. Play to achieve that goal.
• Choose hold cards and discard others strategically to give yourself the most options to make winning hands when drawing.
