In my personal opinion I am more inclined to sports betting and poker, I feel that there you have more control over what can happen, the casino I feel more like something of luck.

What do you think?

Poker, casino, or betting are all games of chance. A disciplined player who relies on himself must have a main source of income, i.e. a paid job, and this will be the best basis for the further development of a successful player :)

It is completely correct what you say, the capital is a fundamental part in the life of a bettor, many times it is the key element to be able to play with less pressure and make wiser and more adequate decisions.

One of the worst things about sports betting is that you often get limited if you are winning too much.

I like sports betting because you can make some combination and win a lot of money with very little and in a short time. Obviously you'll need luck, but in poker you also need it to a greater or lesser extent.

You can also get limited when you are like losing (too much) - some sites do seem to have policy "how you dare to waste money on our site" lol ...

I prefer Poker to any other form of gambling and my reason is simple, If you bet on a Dog, Horse or favourite Football team, You are relying on their Skill to win for you. But with Poker it is Your Skill you are betting on, and Win or Lose there is only one person that you can blame.

Casino/slots can be fun, and you may get lucky and hit big, but realistically there really is only going to be one winner, and it wont be you.

Sports Betting is also fun. My accounts on some sites are limited to bet sizes, I refuse to hand over my financial details to these companies. I stick to football and darts betting, I made profit in 2023.

Poker requires lots of discipline and keeping control of emotions. You could do everything right and still go on massive losing streaks. Patience and good bankroll management is required for long term success.

If I was to stick with one, it would be sports betting.

I think that if you can afford to have fun at the casino and lose some money, and if it won't be catastrophic for you and your family, then there's nothing wrong with it. But I wouldn’t do this, because I understand that in the long run only its owners win in a casino.

I used to love sports betting, football (soccer) and horse racing. I found it great entertainment at a good price. If I had nothing to do I could spend a full day on it, especially at the weekend when there would be so many games and races on.

I would try to invent my own little systems for looking at soccer stats or racing with spreadsheets here, there and everywhere. I could spend hours on it and at the end of it I would only ever bet for small stakes. After that I would watch the games or races on TV and that could be a whole Saturday gone. It's nice to win money but I took great satisfaction from being right the times I was, and it was an ego thing more than anything. I'd feel clever for predicting things correctly.

Making predictions with no money at all riding on it wouldn't be quite as much as fun so the gambling aspect of it was part of it, but only ever small stakes. I could get 12 hours entertainment from football for half the cost of a ticket to a game even if all my bets lost.

These days it's just poker for me.

I never really found casino games attractive as they are negative EV.

I'm totally with you on sports betting and poker! There's this sense of control and strategy that makes the experience more engaging. casinos do seem more luck-based to me too. By the way, if you're diving into the casino world, it's a good call to read some expert reviews they help you navigate through the options and find platforms that offer a fair and enjoyable gaming experience.

I like poker, but most of all I make spot bets! For me, spot betting is the most profitable in the long run! It is much more predictable than the probability calculation of poker hands! So sport is the priority, poker is more of a hobby game for me... on the one hand, it does not bring as much profit as sports, on the other hand very time consuming game....

Recently Ive become much more of a poker player. Ive never really played in a casino, not a lot of casinos in my town first, and second, there was never live poker there. Ive done quite a fair bit of sports betting, and in my opinion, it can get very bad. The thing I love about poker is that I dont have to spend my money, so I can play stress-free.

With a good strategy and luck, both of them work out, of course you have to control yourself 🙂🙂🙂

Hi
I agree with you. In poker and in sports betting, our knowledge and skill play a significant role, while casinos are essentially purely luck, where your skills, experience and knowledge are of minimal importance.
Good luck :)

Sometimes there luck isn't on your side either - like when screen shows you won 57k (when bet was 0.50 and you bought 200.- super bonus) but thanks to max win limit you "only" get 5k ...

E: Saw that ^ in one local streamer channel tonight ... Funnily enough not so long ago they were "scammed" with yet another max win in the same game (retro tapes) ...
