I’ve noticed a lot of players have little rituals when they play. Some carry a lucky charm, others won’t let anyone cut their deck, and of course there’s the old “never count your chips at the table” rule (thanks Kenny Rogers 😅).
Personally, I don’t have anything too serious, but I’ve seen people blow on dice, tap the slot machine before hitting spin, or even refuse to play if their lucky seat is taken.

What about you guys? Do you have any superstitions when you play, or seen any funny or strange ones at the tables?

And here’s a funny thought… any CC members who won a t-shirt, hoodie, or other merch ever use it as a lucky charm when playing? 😆 Would love to know if someone’s rocking their CC gear at the tables for good fortune!

Speaking of superstitions, I can’t help but think of Kenny Rogers’ classic The Gambler… anyone else remember this one

Believing or not is a subjective opinion, but certain events do repeat. Therefore, I sometimes believe

I don't have any superstitions or rituals. I just go and play. The only condition I always adhere to is having money. Without money, there's no point in counting on luck. If you don't have any, then you should just go to bed :)

If there's no cold beer, I'm off.
That's my superstition :)

No, and its very funny to me that some believe in keeping a consistent posture when it comes to hitting the tables. These superstitious players believe that any change in posture could mess with their luck, no matter whether they’re standing at a slot machine or taking a seat at a blackjack table.

My superstition is to play at the casino without spending a single cent of my own money. I think the changes in our community will contribute to this :)

I am not superstitious, but do see some funny things in casinos. Players rubbing the board or images on the board cracks me up lol.

I have one condition without which I will not start the game. It is a good mood. If the mood is good, then there is a chance of success, and in this case I can try my luck.

It's all pure luck on the slots. But you do see people rubbing the screen certain ways. The one thing I do is changing up my bets fairly frequently, not sure it does anything but figure it doesn't hurt either.

Superstitions are not my thing. I have friends who have their own rituals and superstitions, but I can't say that following or not following these rituals has any effect on their effectiveness. Although, of course, they have a different opinion :)

Ron! You and your superstitions :ROFLMAO:.
Well, I don't think I'm superstitious at all. I have no rituals whatsoever. But I have to mention this:

I used to play a lot of live poker (2006-2011), so my GF gave me this piece of crystal that looked like a huge diamond and said it would bring me luck. I took it and used it as a card protector for about a week, but nothing special happened, confirming my solid belief that nothing external would influence the outcome of any game except learning it continuously and playing it correctly.

And yes, I've seen my share of stupidity. This is one that happened at the wsop, and that you all might've seen too. Ironically, the guy ended up winning the main event, probably thinking that what he did helped him, but I always wondered how come he never won it again ;). He had his daughter's picture in front of him and kept kissing it and shouting "Let me win, let me win..." whenever he was in a hand.

Haha Sami, I knew you’d come in here to shoot down my superstitions theory 😅. That crystal story is gold — at least your GF tried to give you some “magic edge”! I can just picture your first hand with that crystal, thinking “yep, this has to be AA, I’ve got this”… and then it turns out to be 8-3 offsuit instead 🤣. Guess the crystal didn’t read the deck right 😜.

And lol @ the WSOP guy — kissing a photo and chanting “let me win” like it’s part of the strategy 🤦‍♂️. I guess it worked once, but like you said, funny how lightning didn’t strike twice.

I don't play slots on Mondays. For me, Monday is always a bad day. Monday always follows Sunday, and for me, Sunday is often the most exhausting day of the week. It's not superstition, at least I don't consider it to be, it's just my experience and my observations accumulated throughout my life.

I don't believe in superstitions, I don't have any rituals, I don't pay attention to mysterious signs, and in general, I don't like wasting my time on nonsense. I believe in myself, in my discipline, patience, and knowledge :)

I don't believe in superstitions. But I don't start playing if I have less than half a pack of cigarettes.

I have no superstitions.... but I think you need to believe in them if you want to enjoy playing slots,

there doesn't seem to be much to it other than pushing buttons and hoping it hits so maybe

having that belief that help is coming in some magical way makes it more fun😎👍

I have this instinct to clench my fists. And when I win something, I don't lend that money to anyone.
