Planning your next vacation? Why not make it a Casino-themed-travel?

Have you ever planned a trip centered around a casino destination-whether it's a legendary city, a world-class hotel, or a breathtaking cruise?

From my personal experience, I highly recommend a Lapland trip on a Finland cruise ship. The combination of casino fun, stunning northern lights, and Arctic activities makes it an adventure.

Share your stories! Where did you go, what made it special, and what insider tips you can give to our community?

I guess that's the moment you realize you have a gambling addiction—when you can't even travel anymore and feel the need to make it casino-related, like the endorphin junkie you are.

Just to clarify, this thread isn’t meant to encourage gambling—it’s about sharing fun and memorable travel experiences connected to casinos or interesting destinations! Many people enjoy discovering new places, and sometimes that includes a casino stop along the way. For a different post someone was asking Debi about her cruise trip and the casino experience. After all, you don’t have to be endorphin junkie to enjoy exploring the world and its unique destinations. 😊😁

That, I have never done.
But your Finland cruise ship idea sounds like a dream for someone looking for a combination of casino fun and a discovery "voyage".
Honestly, I can't afford it at the moment, but I'm starting to think about it ;).

It was one of the best trip I ever had in my life. Honestly, the trip was all about Northern Lights and the experience was amazing. And it was during that, I first visited an offline Casino in my entire life.. 😁😁

Yeah man, I can only imagine. Even without the casino, a trip like that can only be described as a dream like I said before. It's literally going to the top of the earth. And the casino only adds the evening amusement.

I would certainly like to travel, but unfortunately I don't have the financial means to do so. I would especially like to visit Las Vegas. Maybe someday I will be able to afford it.

This Lapland trip on a Finland Cruise sounds extremely interesting but at the same time also very cold and I'm not sure if I not rather want to do something like this in the Caribbean.

I am not sure which one you took. But I boarded from Stockholm and the destination was Helsinki. One way, the trip was around 18 hours or something. The cruise was from Vikings.

Tallinn-Stockholm & Helsinki-Stockholm cruises are indeed 16h or so (one way) - have been on both.
However for these mini 3-4h cruises cruising across Norway's fjords is so much better than doing that in Helsinki-Tallinn ship lol ...

When I was going to play in a poker tourney I would try to make a vacation out of it.

I would usually hang out with friends, go to a sporting event, and play in one more tourneys.

This is just not true at all. We go on cruises once or twice a year and part of the lure is definitely the casino because we have a blast playing low stakes blackjack together. But we also have port stops, great meals, shows and play games. They have shuffleboard, board games, video games etc. And last but not lease a pool day.

I also plan trips to Vegas which are casino related.

That doesn't mean I can't travel without having casino related trips. We have several trips a year that are not casino related at all.

Enjoying gambling games is not an addiction. Playing beyond your means, not using bankroll management and not know when to stop is an addiction. None of those things apply to me. :)

Just a personal opinion, of course—it’s not the same for everyone, and many people can do it without developing an addiction. But I’d bet that a big portion of the people booking a casino cruise ship do, in fact, have a casino addiction. :p For me, gambling away money is definitely the last thing I’d do when I want to travel and relax. :D

Funny enough - I think that most of the people gambling on cruises are a lot like me. There are lower stakes available and plenty of other things to do on the ship.

But in regular casinos I do witness a lot of what appears to be reckless gambling, so I get why you say that. :)
