I know of three 3 casinos in Reading shut for a while. Once they reopened, they did not offer any poker games, either cash or tournament poker.

I went back a couple of times, but still the same, so I figure I will have to win lose my money online.

In the UK, there is a fear of a difficult strain of Flu, apparently >50% of those who get it are being hospitalised. The government mentioned (as they do when they want to gauge a reaction, before announcing a policy) that, were thinking about re-introducing face masks. That went down like a sack of spuds.

Have you been in casinos lately, and do they offer Poker?

No, here in brazil we don't have physical casinos, it's still prohibited, but there was a time when there were many casinos. I'll post about that another day. Here there are some online betting sites, which, by the way, have also grown a lot due to the pandemic. I've never been to a physical casino because they were banned in 1946 and I was born in 1966.
Good luck, Marc!

I remember those “sneeze guards” between players at live poker tables. They made it really hard to see the action around the table. And given how everyone was handling the same cards and chips, I’m not sure how effective they ever were. 🤷‍♀️

Edit: I meant to say "sneeze guards" and NOT "sneeze cards" :ROFLMAO:

Gameplay at casinos was very ridiculous to me during the pandemic . The distance| measures , the disinfections , the glasses , the masks , so ridiculous . It would be better if they remained closed until the end of hg= pandemic strict rules .

COVID has caused many deaths and, of course, significant financial losses. At first, I thought that the pandemic would actually contribute to the growth in popularity of online games, but that was a false impression.

Yeah that COVID-19 pandemic time was a sad time for all kinds of premises and i honestly doubt we really need any reminder of that time. But interesting Pictures posted by OP.

It was at that time that I started playing poker and other gambling games more actively. I was basically out of work and had a lot of free time, so I played 8-12 hours a day. If it weren't for the pandemic, I probably wouldn't have become as active a player as I am now.

I avoided the Casino during the pandemic, not because I was worried about catching it. I was more pissed off with the goofy rules that made no sense, so I just stayed home, which I guess was the exact reason for the goofy rules. Make it so obscene people just give up.

Yes, those were difficult times, but for me it ended with me finally moving out of the office to work from home. Now I can't imagine how I used to go to work in an office, now it seems like an extremely difficult challenge to me.
And by the way, during the pandemic, I only played online.
