casinos are good or bad?

Growing up, we had 2 hotel casinos in my city that provide employment and increased tourism also buffing other businesses. Then 1 was ravaged by fire & the other collapsed after an earthquake. Since then, our city council has opposed the opening of casinos citing the impact of easy gambling access to the community. Gambling addiction to some have lead to ruin in their lives.

Are casinos good or bad? Would you be in favor of a casino in your community?

If you are independent and just play for money that you don't mind losing and have fun, then that's good. But if you play for the sake of earning money, constantly losing and thinking about how to win back, then that's bad)

Casino are bad to the bones IMO Tjey legally make profits from people addiction and dont care at all about having people sruning their life for a little shoot of adrenaline.

Your question is not that easy to answer, Ylan.

In my opinion, the authorities should not decide, some of the few people in power could be biased.
When it comes to something like a casino in the city or town, I think a vote (like a referendum) should be organized.
Of course, a casino could have some disastrous effects on some people, but it also will certainly help the economic growth of the community.

I personally voted yes and would like to see a casino in the city where I live. Presently, if I want to play some live poker for example, I have to travel 478 km (211 miles), a 5 hours' drive.

I definitely support it. For disciplined and reasonable people, such establishments pose no threat. Moreover, they provide jobs for the population, taxes for the budget, and entertainment for those who know how to have fun. The fact that there are players who behave inappropriately is definitely not a problem for such establishments.

I'm pro-casino; I think people should be responsible for deciding whether or not to gamble. It should be considered entertainment.

When there is a crisis, the casino is the first thing that comes to mind. And I, like everyone else, thought that it was impossible to beat the system in this place. However, it is still possible to win. Casinos determine when you are new and give you more chances to win.The goal is to keep players engaged and keep them playing until they lose, or at least until they lose more than they win. Even if they cash out, they'll end up leaving with less.

Their job is to separate you from your money and give it to their shareholders.

They generally do a pretty good job of it, and those that don't usually hire a big casino to do it for them.

Yes, I support the creation and opening of such establishments. I believe that the activities of such establishments will only bring benefits, provided that at least 80% of the city's population are reasonable people. Such establishments generate income for the budget and create jobs. I see only advantages in the activities of such establishments. But, of course, there are other people who have a different opinion on this matter and who belong to the other 20% of the population.
