When at my local clubs I regularly see and hear people when approaching slot machines saying things like "lets play this slot, it's close to hitting it's bonus game" they say this due to the video graphics of gold coins or similar building up on the upper screen of the slot machine.

Do you believe that the build up of coins or similar makes a difference to when a slot bonus hits? Or is it just a gimmick by the slot manufacturers.

I don't think it matters at all.... but I don't regularly play slot machines so who knows,

I think it's probably kinda like those grab games... it looks like you're going to get the toy...

but the odds are you aren't 😎👍

I'm not a Slot expert, but I do know that those matter. Some people know when a machine is close to give whatever it is. Not necessarily the big Jackpot, but at least a certain number of free spins which are not like the regular ones, most of them hit nice prizes.

If you have some time, check this video out. I never knew there were Slot machines streamers till I stumbled on one of @Flyer35"s posts here (2nd link).

I don't believe in such things. It's very banal and ridiculous that people can somehow react to such bait. I've lost a lot in my lifetime, and I'm generally sceptical about the possibility of making money from gambling. But I know from my own experience that sometimes intuition can help you earn money.

I agree with you guys, slots are totally random, it cracks me up when I see people that fall for the flashing lights and bells, thinking they are onto a winner.

Slot machines take advantage of this hardwired instinct to draw the eye and keep it fixed. Flashing lights replicate the excitement of winning. They create a reward loop in the brain that mimics the feeling of success, even when the payout is small or non-existent.
