Me personally I couldn't care less but some people prefer to go in very nice clothes to the casino, for example in a suit. What about you?

Just casual. I don't see why dress up like if you were going to a wedding ;).
But now I remember something that happened to me in casino Saadi in Marrakech about 4 years ago.

I went in and registered in a tournament about 2 hours before start time, then I left, killed some time by having a coffee in a nearby place. When I went back, the security wouldn't let me in because I was wearing sandals. He said I needed shoes :ROFLMAO:. I told him that I was already inside a little earlier and that he said hi and opened the door for me himself, he said that he didn't look at my feet :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. Summertime is very hot in Marrakech, and I had just bought those nice leather sandals the previous day, nothing smelly or old ripped off looking or anything. Hopefully another security guy came out, and I asked him to call the poker floor manager (who knows me). He confirmed that it was a policy, but I could get in that one time :ROFLMAO:.

Well, I don't walk into the casino in my banana thong & Crocs, but I will upgrade my gambling wardrobe when the casinos figure out how to get the lovely aroma of stale cigarette smoke out of the air.

Haha this Crocs comment is very funny and made me chuckle. Yeah crazy that they still allow people to smoke inside of casinos, totally agree.

Maybe these individuals are rich enough to go to the casinos that require so then (like Monaco one?) ...

For me it's not necessary; I just settle for the first thing I find. I've never cared about appearances.

It depends on the situation, I have gone straight from work to a poker tourney and played the whole tourney in a suit.

Or if I was going to a fancy restaurant after then I would dress nicer, but I rather play in comfortable attire.

I don’t really go to casinos myself, but I think there should be at least some kind of dress code, nothing super strict, just neat and a bit classy to match the vibe.

Most casinos have a dress code. If you don't comply, the security staff won't let you in.

Haha yeah that's definitely the way to go casual clothes for the win. Why even dress nice it doesn't matter in the end important is only that we win.

Yes that's true some casinos don't even let you in if you don't dress nicely. They have a certain dress code as a rule in place as a rule.

And that's a plus for online casinos. No-one cares what I am wearing, or am I wearing anything for that matter. But I could try the Arlie Shaban method. Tie as a sweat band when I'm on a roll.

Totally agree, and if they want to enforce some fancy "proper attire", they can make it a private club.
As long as people are decently clean and bring in money, they should be glad to see them coming in the 1st place.

Some upscale places have a dress code, so if you're wearing flip-flops or ripped pants, for example, you won't be allowed. I've seen people being turned away from restaurants or a certain church here. It's a form of discrimination, but each place has its own rules.

I always wanted to post this question, but it seems like you read my mind 😉

As for the attire, I would prefer semi-casual to semi-formal.

You have to ask @Kenzie 96 as he was the one commenting on smoke in casinos. But i was in one here in Mexico and there were smokers too in parts of the Casino.

Yes I'm very decent in mind reading but in this case it was probably just a coincidence and I'm sure you will find more topics to post.

I usually go casual. For me it’s all about comfort at the tables, not the outfit. But I get why some players like dressing sharp, it can boost confidence or even affect table image.

I prefer casual style and don't like to suit up, though Barney Stinson from "How I Met Your Mother" strictly suggested it.

Well I think it depends on time of day and why you're going,

if you're going in the daytime I guess more casual is fine,

night time I'd say is a more dressy time to have fun,

unless you're just going to play poker then

I guess casual is fine🫣....
