Do you trust electronic devices as much as live dealers?

Hi everybody,

I'm going monthly to a Casino, but I always feared the RNG on electronics (black jack, roulette, craps and all other games). I'm always afraid to lose more money than at a live person who's really in front of me.

Am I right to fear those? Do casinos have checkups from people to make sure at least some of their players wins some time?

And another question: my local Casino has a whole section where buy-ins are lower. Do you think the % of winning is the same as regular table? Does the same standard of winnings apply everywhere?

Thanks for your output. Those are real questions I ask myself and can save me a whole lot of money.

Live in the USA the machines should be regulated and it wouldnt really be worth it for them to cheat.

On a online, non regulated site I do not trust them at all, especially if there is no gaming commission signing off.

I recently watched a YouTube video showing how a card-mixing/shuffling machine was hacked and manipulated. It has a built-in camera meant to verify that the deck is complete, but that same feature can apparently be exploited to track or control the exact order of the cards.

Even though there’s still a human dealer at the table, the machine can still influence the outcome if it’s been tampered with. So in the end, you’re relying on the integrity of the casino—whether the cards are handled by a live dealer, a machine, or both or if you play on a slot machine.

It’s completely normal to feel uneasy about RNGs, especially if you’re used to live games where you can see everything happening. With electronic games you only see the outcome, not the process. Still, reputable casinos use tested and audited systems to avoid exactly these concerns. That doesn’t mean the games become “better” for the player the house edge stays the same. Personally, I prefer live games for the transparency, but I don’t assume the RNG is out to get me. The key is to stick to whatever makes you feel comfortable at the table.Ex:When I get the same cards in two consecutive hands, my first instinct is also to think something’s off. But if you look at the math, the odds are about 1 in 1326 rare, but absolutely possible when you play thousands of hands. Emotionally it feels rigged, mathematically it’s just variance doing its thing.

I have not much of an idea if the same standards do apply to those electronic devices compared to a live setting. But my guess is yes. They win the money anyway in the long run.

Ha, I trust the electronics more than a live person...lol. Always go the opposite, that's my theory.

I honestly think it's the same thing everywhere you play.
The % of winning depends on the house edge and the player's skills more than anything else.
There's one difference though: you win/lose less at the lower buy-ins.

Well most people lose in the long run at casino games, the house has the edge.. that's just how the games work

so no casino needs to cheat a player to make money, casino rng's are licensed and regulated,

the same cannot be said of people however... would put more faith in a machine any day,

poker is a little different obviously but again it's the people you have to beat👍

No , > don't trust them , cause they can be manipulated , sb can take control of them , become| a super user , they can control rng , so they can give you any bad beats they want . Love dealers are better , not 100% good , but yeah , way better for sure .

Whence gambling, one have to trust intelligently that the house is fair. Its part of the gamble. The house do not have a good reason to cheat (online or live) since they already have the edge at the end of the day. They must be perceived to be credible so as not to loose the players & their business. Tho much care & vigilance must still be taken against scams specially online where they could easily accept your money & then just disappear.

If you feel fear, it may primarily be related to a lack of skills or experience. In addition, fear may indicate that you are gambling with money you cannot afford to lose. Think about the reasons for this fear. If you are afraid only because you are facing AI or an automated system, then it is better to find an option where you will be facing a person, as playing and feeling fear is not good.

I love gambling. I don't have the opportunity to play live. That's why I play online, relying on my own experience and choosing games where I hope I have at least some real chance of winning. I don't trust it very much, but I don't have much choice.
