Life is a game ! :7s4::2h4: "I'm all-in"

Was there a bet or a game of chance where you really took a chance; put everything on the line; wanted to push your luck right here and now?

You said to yourself, "Risk! All or nothing..." - but the stakes were so high that you couldn't really afford it; it was clear that either this would turn out well and everything would be rosy afterward:cool:, or it would end badly and you'd be in deep shit:poop::oops:!

Tell us about your risk tolerance!

Thankfully I only have to answer to myself, so I take pretty big risks...if it turns out bad I usually feel like crap for awhile but no one got hurt (except me) so it's easy to do it again.

I always played only with money that I had set aside in advance to spend. I never played with my last money and never risked more than I could afford. Nevertheless, there were situations when I won a decent amount of money playing poker and I could risk the entire amount by betting on sports or playing roulette, depending on my mood. To be honest, it was almost always foolish of me :)

I feel lucky because I have not been in a situation where I have to make the decision you mentioned. My life is not smooth but it is still acceptable ))

Tell us about your risk tolerance!

I was at a casino once and decided to play blackjack. I started with $200 and turned it into $2K in less than half an hour at a $25 table.

While playing, behind me was the entrance to a nice room where I could see 3 Blackjack tables with only 2 or 3 players on each. I asked the dealer, and he said it's a VIP room with tables at $100 minimum. I looked at the black chips in front of me and thought, they're not mine after all, so why not go for it!

I got up with $2100 and went there. 20 min later or so, I left that room with $0.

Yes, I have a similar dilemma in almost every tournament. :ROFLMAO: I either double up and continue fighting for the win, or I go to sleep. Moreover, my poker philosophy does not prohibit me from playing this way on the bubble, in the CardsChat League, or in tournaments with high money guarantees. :ninja:

I was playing slots. I was drunk. I lost all my money, then went to the office, opened the safe, took a whole bunch of money from the reports, and went back to playing. That day, I lost more money than I earn in a year. That day, I was completely screwed.

I try to know the right situation to push All In, and of course the bankroll management.
To calculate the steps as a part of the game to lead a winners situations.

The biggest bets I made were on sports. Once, my bets on football matches in one evening totalled about $320, while my total bankroll was $1,000. That evening, I placed 18 bets of $20 each, and 15 of them brought me a profit. It was actually my biggest risk and my most successful evening.

All the money I won in poker, instead of withdrawing it, I took risks and went into slots in the hope of increasing it, but in reality I lost everything.

...do it again until it works. You can't be unlucky forever!

But it doesn't feel so nasty when it was just a win you gambled. Nothing won, nothing lost!

Easy Come Easy Go. But once for 20 minutes VIP:cool: ... and you were definitely ready to knock the $ 200 on your head anyway.

Strong from you that you share your experienced with us(y)! That you report about it shows that you digested it well and have drawn your apprenticeship from it. At least I hope ...

Life is not a game it is a sexual transmitted disease.
Sarcastically precisely...more or less:unsure:

All the money I won in poker, instead of withdrawing it, I took risks and went into slots in the hope of increasing it, but in reality I lost everything.
Believe me, the same end is written in all stories

If we consider poker, every game involves taking multiple risks. For example, when you go all-in pre-flop, even with a strong hand, there’s no guarantee of winning. That’s why it can always be seen as a potential loss of money. My risk tolerance is balanced I’ll take the shot when the odds are right, but I won’t gamble recklessly.

There have been too many moments like this in my life. I often risked money that I couldn't afford to lose. I have to admit that in most cases, such risks turned into huge problems for me. However, there were a few times when such risks significantly improved my situation :)
I love to take risks, but it seems that I love it too much.

You can only take risks in appropriate cases. Otherwise, you will lose your entire bankroll.
What are "appropriate cases"?
It would be nice if you can give us a couple of examples, please. Or just one that you've experienced?

Yeah, I’ve had a couple of those moments. Not always at the poker table, but in life too. There’s that rush when you know you’re about to make a move that could either change everything for the better or leave you in a hole you’ll regret. It’s the same feeling as shoving all-in with a marginal hand—you don’t know if you’ll come out on top, but you commit anyway because backing down isn’t an option.

That mix of adrenaline, fear, and hope is brutal… but it’s also what makes the win so sweet when it does work out.

Difficult to regain control if bankruptcy does not do it

Well then let’s hope that at the end of the day/your gambling career, the rewarding situations outweigh the less rewarding ones

...and so bitter when you lose. Everyone knows it, but you have to know it, otherwise you wouldn't taste the sweetness

I have sometimes in a single day put more money in a slot machine than I wanted to THAT DAY - but never more than I had brought to lose for the trip. (since the first time I learned my lesson on that many, many years ago lol)
