This one time, you were playing blackjack and, finally had a nice, lucky streak.

As you reached about 30 times the money you started with and stopped betting, getting ready to leave, the pit manager approached you and offered you a room saying that instead of leaving now, as tired as you are, it could be better to go upstairs and have some rest.

Would you accept the offer or get out of there?

But let's say you find yourself in that situation. Would you take the offer or not?

I don't like black jack, at least the one we have here in Argentina, the tables have a betting limit and you can never make a big profit.
People prefer to play roulette
I don't know if they are the same there?

That lady could not offer you a room Ron. She wasn't a part of the casino staff. She was offering some company and maybe something else ;).
In this case, the casino is offering you a room, and in most cases, if it doesn't come with food and drinks, they would had put enough points on your card to get free "whatever" you want.

This is not about liking Blackjack or not. It's rather about you using your imagination. Suppose you are in that situation, would you accept the offer or go home?

PS: In all casinos, there's a minimum and a maximum bet.

But you were about to leave. You would go back to play just because they made you the offer????

I'd accept the offer only if they included dinner and breakfast, then in the morning after breakfast I'd go home.

Probably best not to let the ol imagination soar too much when gambling. Dinner & breakfast is ok, I am assuming Z that your much better half was looking over your shoulder while you were typing your answer, nice try by the way, but beyond that ----------.;)

Most of the time, when you're offered a room, there would be enough points on your casino card to afford food and drinks not just once.

Exactly what I would've done.
Unless I had to be somewhere for some important commitment, I'm staying.

If I'm going to the casino for a serious session I'd go without the better half, she's a PITA at casino's. She's not too bad if I'm just playing different table games, but if I sit down for a serious poker session for a few hours she gets bored, but she does bring a book with her and doesn't nag for a couple of hours.

That's actually more than the "Collaboration" one could expect.
The best thing is not to take anyone with you if planning to play a tournament. I couldn't help feeling bad, which took a lot out of my focus, whenever I went with my wife. A few times, it cost me a "spa" 😜😂.

I don't play tournaments if I go to the casino, I usually play a 2 hour cash game session, the tournys only run in the evenings and I live 100Kms away, I don't want to be driving home after midnight.

The missus enjoys the food and I get to play poker. Now that our kids are grown and don't live with us, we are getting back into the live music scene, poker isn't a regular thing for me nowadays. We go to concerts at least once a month, sometime twice a month.

Thanks Sami, our plans are to move into Melbourne in the future, (probably in about 6 years) most likely not too far from the casino, at that time I will start to play the evening tournys when I can.

I would definitely refuse. First, because the other day is tempting to bet more—and lose more likely! And secondly, because I don't like sleeping away from home! Hahaha! Good luck, Sami!

That's a reason enough Diva, especially in a situation when you're winning. Better have some sweet dreams in your own bed 🤪😂.
And good luck to you too Diva (y).

I've been there many times. There's nothing worse than finding yourself broke after having plenty of money just a little while before.
But experience helps getting rid of the greed in certain situations.

I'd tell him make it a 5-star room and he's on:love:

I know he's hoping that I'll hit the wheel again and give it all back (and probably some interest on top too :p), but I'm too disciplined for that, so why not kick back in a nice room, order some room service and hit the min bar with some of my winnings?
