I have a deep suspicion that most of you are experiencing the same things i've noticed when playing 3 Card Poker. Its not good!

1:: Did you go into a losing streak during 2025, usually mid to late in the Year? I did.

2:: Do you think the casino's are setting the odds with subtle changes ? I certainly do. Here is why. I've noticed that the dealers are reading my strategy much more accurate than in years past. Thats a change and think its directly related to AI. Also, I have noticed that the dealer will not Qualify more often when you have a winning hand, But we all know when dealer wins he rakes it all,

for example , the ante is $1.00 and the call/raise is $1.00. So if dealer wins, he wins $2.00. in the same betting amounts you win but dealer does not qualify, So you win $1.00. I can't tell you how many times this lop sided win amounts i have had . It seems that when i win , more than 50% of the time i only win the ante $1.00. This is a change compared to 2024. All this means: You have to win many, many more hands to beat the dealer. This is a big change in my opinion.

Just curious if anyone else have experienced or noticed the same type changes in ,what i consider a way of setting the odds for the house?

Peace
Tony

Hey Antonio,
This is the 1st time I see you deviating from your usual analytic, logical thinking. What happened that's making you slip into the superstition realm?
We all know that the house has the edge and that's that.

Its the way they are changing the way of setting the odds. In earlier times you could look for so many good hands and the house of course would recieve more winning hands. I know its still the house setting the odds. But the tactics of gaining the odds have changed which in turn has myself changing up my game. The biggest factor is my winning hands being paid off with a non qualifier hand by dealer. When this happens, and recently its been happening a lot, to stay even with the dealer you need to win two hands to every one hand he wins just to break even.

That is the biggest factor for myself. So in turn I have been calling more often with hands that i would not normally play. Thats helped but im still on the losing end. But theres more to figure out against the AI dealer setting the odds.

My old strategy is out and a new one needs to be built for the new way.

You didn't answer the question, have you noticed the change lately?

Peace
Tony

I don't really play 3-card poker, but I watched Debi play in vegas and she won plenty, but that was before AI.
If AI is involved, and it is in everything these days, the best strategy will be given by AI. Ask your co-pilot, ChatGPT, or whatever you have available;
it will help you develop a new strategy and hopefully start winning again. good luck

I saw this format, even tried to play it, but I still didn't understand it. Maybe it's not my way of thinking; I prefer Hold'em and Omaha.

Its simple really. You bet an ante, then dealt 3 cards. If you think you can beat the dealer then you can bet/raise. Keep in mind dealer MUST have a Q or better to qualify. So If you hold AKx That would most likely be a good calling hand, I would call with that everytime. If you don't think you can beat the dealer(J95) fold and he gets your ante. If dealer doesn't have a Q or better you win your ante and dealer pays what you had placed as bet on ante. But you don't win anything on the bet/raise. but you do get that back.

Its fairly simple, 3 cards against 3 cards, they have a Pair plus you can bet but most think its a distraction. But if you play it and hit a very nice hand the odds payoff very big.

Hope that helps you understand the game.

Peace
Tony

In three-card poker, the probability of a losing streak is part of the mathematical variance. For example, if you assume that your chances of winning against the dealer are approximately 47.4% (typical for some strategy options), then the probability of losing several handouts in a row is quite real

Very interesting theory my friend Antonio. Unfortunately I have absolute zero idea about this game at all. Good luck to you.
