On the other hand, sites where verification isn't required are mostly unlicensed. And in my opinion, I doubt there are any casinos that don't require verification to withdraw winnings, because that way, someone could create multiple accounts to take advantage of offers, and the casino would lose a lot of money.

Reliable and secure does unfortunately not go hand in hand with no verification required as this is exactly one of the requirements to make a site reliable and secure.It just so happens that I only play on sites that require verification. If verification is necessary, I am ready to provide the necessary documents without question. I have a foreign passport, which can be used to verify my account without any complications. In addition to my passport, I always provide a bank statement to confirm my place of registration. If verification is not necessary, I just play and don't complicate anything. I don't believe there is a casino or poker room online that doesn't require or demand a id and address verification. I believe every casino asks for [these id proof documents . The difference is that done fo this when you register and rome other casinos or poker rooms ask for the proof when you ask for a withdrawal . Some others wait for the proof for 30 days , in the meanwhile thru allow you to deposit and play

The safety of money in general is never 100% ensured. And it's up to us to decide whether to disclose our personal data or not. If we want to play, and especially get paid in case we win, I guess we won't have any choice but comply with their policies.

I play on 888, GG Poker and pokerstars. My accounts are verified on these three sites. I only play on one site that does not require verification, which is Replay Poker. I have a friend who played on 888 for more than three years without verification, accumulating a bankroll. When he had collected a little over $2,000 and tried to withdraw the funds, his request was rejected and verification was required. So he tried to get verified for more than 3 months, his documents were constantly rejected, and customer support responded with boilerplate phrases or did not respond at all. He struggled for three months, but was finally verified.

I don't see any danger in providing documents for verification or providing any other personal data. I am not such an important person that my data needs to be kept secret. I think that nowadays, any data can be stolen if someone influential with money, or some fraudsters, or some special services need it.

After I updated my documents to newer ones, all verifications went smoothly and without any problems. If verification is difficult for you, just update your documents to newer ones and there will be no problems. It is still better to play on sites with mandatory verification, as there is less chance of encountering fraudsters.
